Grumpy's Cafe

We were greeted by the nicest gentleman. We were promptly assisted our server. Our food was quick. The french toast was the most delicious french toast that has touched my palate. In fact all the food was delicious. Thank you Grumpy for such a great dining experience.

Not worth the money, the wait time was 1.5h. Food was not impressive at all. We ordered grumpy omelets. Not worth the time or money.

Really wanted to try this place, but the person at the counter yelled at my elderly father inlaw after taking 1 step past the wait to be seated sign. He is visiting from India and was startled and embarrassed for simply looking around out of curiosity. My husband was nice enough to tell the person he thought yelling at his father was unnecessary before telling them we were not staying. I love eating breakfast at cafes, but I wasn't going to Subject my family to that bs.

Grumpy's, the name is not ironic. The people working here have no idea what good customer service is. When I asked to put in a takeout order they looked at me like I was crazy and made sure to tell me that my order was behind all the dine in orders. I had no problem with this or the wait but the attitude was awful.

How hard is to cook decent hasbrowns? Apparently it is too hard for most places including this one. Decent breakfast otherwise but please improve on the basic hashbrowns! Dennys does better!

Great place for breakfast. Good food and friendly service. It's small, so go early if you want a table.

This must be a fun experience for some, to be treated poorly by old white boomers at a place called “Grumpy’s” when spending your tourist dollars, but it’s not what we were looking for or expected for our family of color who was greeted with a grunt and no menus when we asked if we could order food. They didn’t know what pastries they carried and had to pull the entire pastry case out to list the 3 flavors of turnovers 😵‍💫
Spend your hard earned money at local places that want it….and act like they do.

Whenever we are in Rockaway Beach we always stop at Grumpy's. Best breakfast, great service. You can't ask for more!

My family was very pleased with the food and the service. The fish and chips, chowder and French dip were fantastic. Kids menu included corn dogs and Mac and cheese. Both were what you'd expect kids menu food to be. We would happily dine here again.

Humble family restaurant. They have the greatest festive decorations 🎄🎃
