I’ve been craving a kolache since I left Texas and this place did not disappoint. Just as good if not better then the ones I had down south. Awesome friendly owners is also a big plus.

I stopped in to pick up coffee and unfortunately, neither the barista nor any of the cooks were wearing masks. Really disappointing. I would love to support this local business, but not if they don’t care enough about the safety of their customers to do something so simple.

Walked in randomly because I'm right around the corner from this place. Prices are excellent, the kolaches are super tasty, service was prompt, and the lady at the register (suspect she was an owner) was super friendly and helpful; it was obvious I'd never been there before, so she took the time to explain the menu and what the food was. A kolach and a cold brew was 6 bucks, fair in my book, and the perfect little breakfast on the run. I got a kolach with smoked sausage, jalapeños, and cheddar: perfect kick of heat, balanced smokiness from the sausage, just the right amount of cheese. Coffee is solid as well. I'll definitely be a regular here; do yourself a favor, and I'd you're in the area check them out.

Oh happy sparrow, where have you been my whole life....Apparently right down the street! Always walked/drove by this place, but finally stopped in, and I'm glad we did! My wife is addicted to the Milk Maid Tea Latte, their house coffee is french press, Bonus! The Kolaches are great, perfect to take and run. Very cozy and relaxed atmosphere; high chairs and kids toys, bonus, bonus. We feel dumb we didn't stop by sooner, our new neighborhood favorite cafe.

This place may be around the corner from me, but I think I'd trek across the city to come here. They've got the friendliest owners, a cozy space, a great selection of teas and delicious kolaches! I'm slowly making my through their list of kolaches and I've been happy with every one! And it's never too crowded so feel free to bring a friend (or laptop) and stay a while!

As a former Texan myself, I was thrilled to have these guys bring a Kolaches to the Portland area. The owners were friendly and nice with southern hospitality. The Kolaches were awesome. Will come again.

A taste of home! Houston transplant has been coming here for a few years; delightful staff and location with a selection of gourmet kolaches that put the common styles back in Texas to shame. So many original recipes. Always call ahead though; they sell out of many flavors daily! :D

Visit the Happy Sparrow! You’ll love it!

It has a great vibe. Combination hip and zen feel with warm wood and cement floors. Nice welcoming people behind the counter. They bake Kolaches, soft sweet yeasty buns stuffed with sweet or savory ingredients and served warm. Delightful! I ordered two: a Nutella and a Texas Original with spicy sausage and diced jalapeños, plus a latte. Everything was delicious! AND there’s a peacock in the neighborhood that visits the cafe on occasion🦚.

Danny & Mary are Amazing, local additions to Oregon. Not only are they wonderful people, their kolache is...Sublime. Stop by, say hello, and have some wonderful yumyums. You’ll live longer and the pep in your step will make others love you more. 10🌟

I only ordered a Jasmine peony green tea (around 11:30 this morning) but it was loose leaf and fantastic! Plus the woman at the counter was incredibly friendly and sweet. It was way too hot but that's better than like warm of course. I'd definitely go back.
