This review is mostly for their exceptional service. Came here on a Saturday morning around 11, on the way to the tulip festival. Got there and saw a sign that all kolaches were sold out. Was a bit disappointed but still went in for a coffee. We were informed that kolaches sell out pretty quickly, and esp since Easter weekend, people have been ordering more than usual. They told us we can order ahead of time. Except we couldn't, since they're closed the next day (Sunday) and we are from out of town. After the employee heard that, she told us she has 2 kolaches, which weren't the prettiest and they weren't going to sell it originally. But since we made such an effort, she gave us both kolaches, on the house. ( We ended up getting the potato sausage kolaches?)

Happy sparrow cafe's service def turned my disappointment to happiness! Would definitely come back in future to support them.

Tip: show up early or call ahead to hold order!

Excellent mix of savory and sweet kolaches and lovely coffee drinks! The owners are genuinely wonderful people, great conversationalists, and are truly invested in their customers. My coworkers are always so pleased when I bring in kolaches to share at work and I'm really happy to support such a wonderful family-owned business that cares about the quality of their food as well as their local community!

Family owned business that makes a personal connection with everyone who walks through the door. The Kolaches are phenomenal. Just like Texas which makes sense since the owners are from the Lone Star State. Notable coffees and teas as well! Just go!!

The service was great, but I wasn't impressed with the quality or the price. The Kolaches are 2x expensive as anything I've had in Texas. The "Texas Hotlink" Doesn't even use Texas sausage - How about renaming to "Oregon Hotlink"? Also, please leave mustard packets out, because Kolaches and mustard go hand-in-hand!

Always service with a smile. The kolaches are delicious but you might want more than one. My favorites are: "vanilla cream cheese with cinnamon", "bacon me happy", "nutella", and "morning glory".
Yet another visit today. Danny and Mary are always a pleasure to speak with. They're kolaches are still delicious and their coffee is still brewed well.
We continue to love this place.

This place is such a gem! Stopped in one morning and they had a busy morning so they had limited items left but that’s okay, it happens. I got one of everything that they had left and it did not disappoint! The coffee was also delicious, the owners are so nice and personable. If you’re in town you must come here, you won’t regret it!

I don't often review but I felt deeply compelled to after my visit today. Every time I come to Happy Sparrow the staff is remarkably friendly and makes me feel right at home. They are masters of the Kolache, a true art form! Today I tried a couple of their vegan Kolaches and to no surprise they were fantastic. Thanks for being such a beacon of light and inspiration in the community.

Best Vietnamese coffee in a 30 mile radius. Kolaches are yummy and kept lively with rotating flavors. Beautiful souls and kid friendly. Love the mom and pop owners. Very happy they relocated out of Portland and into our neighborhood.
