Happy Sparrow Cafe

My friend and I stopped here on a road trip and we were greeted with such warmth and kindness. The woman who helped us was so inviting and radiated happiness to every customer who entered through the doors. I would be back every day if I lived in the area.

Great food and coffee. Amazingly cheerful and quick service. I’m rarely in this area but will come here every time I am.

Not open on Mondays despite what Google indicates. My wife and I both had coffee (cold brew for me & warm oat latte for her).

Although the staff was very friendly, I didn’t like how we needed to spend an additional dollar to use milk alternatives. So I got myself the cold brew but asked for light ice, she ignored my request and filled the cup with ice. Hence my cold brew having a pretty watered down flavor.

That was disappointing.

Other than that, it’s a nice place to at least give a try! Who knows, maybe your experience will be better.

As a native Texan, I was practically raised on kolaches, and despite having eaten countless kolaches between Austin and Dallas (including the famous Czech Stop in West, TX), the kolaches made by the Texan-owned Happy Sparrow Cafe are my favorites. The “Texas Hot Link” and “Bacon Me Happy” are my wife’s and my favorite savory kolaches. They are truly delicious! On the sweet side, the “Nutella Bun” is to die for.

Cute little shop with wonderful customer service and selection of kolaches. I only purchased savory kolaches, but now I'm addicted. They also have a full coffee bar, that is extremely delightful.

The Kolaches are fantastic and so is the Vietnamese coffee (made traditional style). The owner was very nice and prompt as well. Definitely a great local find!

Delicious kolaches, both sweet and savory options. Super fun and friendly owners who run a great cafe. They have your typical range of coffee options, but magically they also have legitimate Vietnamese coffee... which is arguably the best in the world

The coffee drinks here have been terrific. The kolaches are beautiful and seem popular. I'd love it if yogurt or fruit, something less bready was available, but it won't stop me from dropping by regularly. Great venue, staff and always love the music playing!

What a fantástic couple who owns and operates this fine establishment! The Kolache's are by far the best in the pnw.... Definitely stop by and give them a try, they not only have authentic Texas Kolache's, but some that have been inspired by the pnw lifestyle.....
