The Depot Restaurant

We stopped by on a whim one Saturday. We were greeted pleasantly and served quickly even though the restaurant was packed. The fried mushrooms were perfect and the fish had just the right crisp to the breading. We will be stopping by again for sure!

The very small portion of fish was overcooked and the fries had no flavor. The chowder was ok.

Menu completely as expected - adequate for most taste buds!

Service was friendly, attentive, accurate, drink refill prompt. Ask for water if you want it.
Booths small and somewhat uncomfortable( depending on size/flexibility/age)- Difficult booth entry and exit. Only one table available - limited for larger group. Some individual stool seats available at small counter.
Parking lot entry/exit not bad if you know where your going.
Price a little high but likely average for current market.
I would order from here for take away next time.

Really tasty food in excellent quantities. Unique approach to fried fish that's worth a visit.

I had the medium captain platter. The shrimp were great. I thought the fish was stringy. My husband thought the fish was great. I also thought the oyster had too much breading. I've always liked the atmosphere at the depot and our waitress was great

The lighting and environment are beautiful.
I ordered the shrimp pesto pasta. The pasta was prepared very well, but the pesto sauce lacked flavor.

My family has been dining at The Depot close to four decades now and still love eating there. The Depot has the best fish and chips in the Northwest, fresh cut fries, crisp salad covered with baby shrimp...I'm getting hungry now...We don't live in the area anymore, but we'll drive down from Portland for a family get together.

Really a great local dive for cod fish and chips! Homemade fries are tasty, as is the blue cheese dressing on the shrimp salad. Very tasty beer on tap! Service is very friendly with very cute young servers!
