It’s been 20 years since I’ve been here and the food and atmosphere are still great. I definitely need to find more excuses to go to Albany. Fish was fresh and the fries and salad were top notch. We used to drive here from Portland quite often for fish and chips when I was a kid and it’s great to see the the new owners have stayed with a winning formula. Keep up the good work.

An extremely great surprise we found when my mom and I had lunch traveling through Albany. Not normally a fan of fried fish but they use a homemade batter that is very thin and very flavorful that compliments the fish perfectly. I had the combo minus the oysters and couldn’t have been happier. The French fried are homemade and cut fresh. Always a nice touch! Mom had the clam chowder and salad. Their clam chowder was great and the shrimp was very tasty and fresh!
Our server, Sierra was exceptionally sweet and attentive. The location is convenient and great parking. Quaint decor that fits the style of food.
Hands down the BEST homemade cocktail sauce and tartar sauce we have ever had! It was so good we had to buy some and take home.

Best Fish and chips in Oregon that I have had. Batter is the perfect amount that gives a good crunch and coats the fish but isn't to heavy. Fish was fresh and so was everything else on the plate! Great atmosphere also.

The staff were very kind and attentive. It did get busy and that caused a small slow down, but they were still good to us. I had the chowder and an appetizer sampler. All the food was good, the chowder being some of the best I've had this far from the coast!

It's small but packed with interesting decorations on the walls, hanging from the ceilings and most everywhere. The clam chowder was really delicious. There was nothing really special about the deep fried shrimp. The plates had a large bed of salad with a generous amount of shrimp on them and fresh cut fries. It wasn't nearly as tasty though, as the clam chowder, but the service was fine and the way the restaurant was decorated made it a pleasant dining experience.

Wonderful food (we had fish and chips, shrimp and chips and clam chowder) in a low key rustic atmosphere. Service couldn't have been better. We will be back!

Have not been back here for many years. It does not seem that much has changed other than prices are higher of course. We were a little disappointed in our food. Everything was fried well as far as cooking doneness. However, the oil it was cooked in was past due for change. Not a good flavor. We did not share this information with the staff since we are only in town for a week or two and have no reason to return.

It was our first time at The Depot and we had an amazing meal. Our sons loved the food and the ambiance. Totally recommend for your family.

This place is fantastic. The location is perfect, close to a lot of Albany staples. The prices are reasonable, and the selection of menu items is perfect. Now, about the fish & chips... Phenomenal. The batter is tasty, the fish is tender and flakey, the fries are ACTUAL potatoes... I highly recommend this place and I'll be coming here again. Lastly, the decor is really cute and the place has a very cozy feel. They make the tartar sauce in house and it is the definition of delicious. Pairs perfectly with the fish and isn't too Mayo heavy.

Always a great place to eat. Today we actually drove home from the coast to eat good seafood and one of the best clam chowders.
