No longer will I depend on reviews. This place should have negative zero. I couldn't drink my water due to the dirty glass it was in. Recieved a 10 oz baby bottle of apple juice. Meat microwave pie was nasty. Staff was unfriendly. Black Kite can fly away for good. This is so far the worst place I've been negative zero.

I got an iced chai tea latte. It was okay. The worker wasn't mean or rude, but not particularly friendly or helpful.
I saw another review that said free wifi, but I only saw wifi with a password. Maybe you need to ask for it, but I didn't want to "bother" the worker to ask.
No outdoor seating which was disappointing on a beautiful August afternoon.

Spot for the cool chick to chill out and grab some coffee. The breakfast had potential but not well prepared. Potatoes weren't done and biscuit was dry.

Acoustics are also tough. Be prepared to raise your voice to be heard across a small cappuccino table.

I was disappointed because I drove all the way out to Toledo expecting this place to have real pie, savory and sweet. Like Hoosier Mama in Evanston, IL. The pie was pretty good, but $7. It seemed a little insubstantial for $7. The Earl Grey tea I drank was mediocre and the door didn't always close all the way, letting a crisp breeze in.

A great neighborhood spot for meetings and people watching. The drinks are great and the vibe is super mellow. On the weekends they provide a very popular brunch and during the week they offer homemade baked good.

Best place in Toledo for your coffee fix

Very nice spot. Good drinks, prices a bit high, but... About the same as most other independents.

It’s a cozy and relaxing spot but the staff usually doesn’t seem energetic or happy to be there. The drinks ive tried have been okay. I’ve always gone back because my son goes to CTW down the street and I love tea and coffee. Last year I actually did get a friendly barista who suggested a homemade tea latte that I ended up loving. A year later I forget what was in it but I do know cinnamon was in it. Anyways today I tried ordering it the way I previously ordered it. It tasted and smelled spicy like pepper. When I looked at it the colors of the “cinnamon” were both black and brown. It most definitely was a mix of cinnamon and some other seasonings.
It was also a large cup and I usually order small drinks. That is my fault for not specifying but I wish she would have asked. I drank a few sips and was done with it. She ended up being rude to my boyfriend so that made me feel uncomfortable to ask her to remake my drink. Overall not a great experience this time. Not sure if I’ll be back.

The owner Kristin is super nice. On point taste in art, interior design, and of course, coffee, espresso, and wicked tasty pies / bfast bites. Keep doing what your doing and stay in touch!

This is a nice, quiet chill local business. We have been coming here for two years. Their savory pies/empanadas are excellent and varied. The latte is almost always wonderful.
