Latte was super sweet like to the point of making me wonder if I got the wrong order. I have never had a regular latte come sweetened to this extent. Poor accoustics, very loud staff can't hear your order. Several menu items were unavailable. The iced tea was fine. The beignet I got was more of a funnel cake. Good but not my definition of that pastry. Over all worth a stop, but I would have liked to be able to hear to get better info when ordering.

I lived in toledo for 16 months in the mid 2010's , hated the place but a shining star was Black Kite Coffee, loved the place and staff and coffee. The Ethiopian pea was a standout, if your ever in toledo(😢😭😢) it is a must see.

Reminds me of the village in New York. I never purchase coffee or tea from " Coffee shops" the mark up is tremendously high. But I must say I tried the tea here. It was very good. I would love to see a live performance here. Maybe a sax player or acoustic guitar. That would be a much needed added touch. I will be back.

The environment is rustic chic, a excellent backdrop Givin the neighborhood. The coffee was fresh and the service was nice. One of Toledos best!

My iced coffee had a chemical aftertaste. They assured me there was no artificial sweetener. Since I couldn't discern the strange taste, I simply dumped it. But, I'm not in the habit of purchasing beverages only to dump them. So, I won't be back.

Great atmosphere! My favorite drink here is their Honey lavander latte. The cinnamon rolls are delish! I also have enjoyed EVERY HOLY TOLEDO donut I've tried! Such creative flavors! Love this place and I love that its in the area I grew up in and graduated from CCHS! Wish it was here then!

I have been going to black kite coffee for a couple years now. I have always had great coffee and food there. Parking can be cumbersome, and forget about getting a cup after church get out on Sunday. But altogether it is one of the best coffee shop/Lounge in northwest ohio. It is also a great place to have a meeting with someone or to get some work done.

Awesome staff, very friendly! Love coming in and talking with them and getting a good coffee. If you haven't been here you should check it out, they have a bunch of good drinks.

Really decent. Not amazing. But decent.
The first time I ever went, was lack luster to say the least. Just ordering was a hassle and the latte was average at best. The ambiance was mediocre, hipster-wannabe-bohemian-esque.
But it's really gotten it's act together.
The espresso, while not the best I've ever had, was good.
I had much better luck with the honey lavender latte. One of the house specialty drinks. I'd highly recommend it.
The breakfast balls; (bagel dough, wrapped around a mixture of either sausage or veggie medley, and cream cheese, then cooked,) which are a signature creation, aren't half bad. They're nothing amazing, but they're not bad.
The wholey toledo donuts they serve are actually as good as advertised.
And they whole environment is more inviting than I remember.
My first visit, the place felt like it was still being worked on, the building looked so rustic.
But now, it's not as cluttered with artsy pedalings and hipster furniture that feels forced.
The parts that feel hipster-ish fit. The artsy trappings are subtler. It's actually becoming bohemian. And that's pretty cool. Especially for this city.
