This place is the best. I've never had savory pies so nicely done before. The cheesecake cinnamon roll must be tried. The drinks are better than Starbucks.

A wonderful local coffee shop in the Old West End. Excellent coffee, pie and food selections. You would do well to check out their brunch on the weekends, as well. They make most of their food from scratch and get holey doughnuts on the weekend. Also, the sell beer

I was greatly disappointed with the customer service. When my family and I first arrived there was no acknowledgement of us being there no greeting or anything. Then after we finally ordered, I were sitting there waiting, I asked the gentleman who took our order to please alter milk for soy I believe the manager is the one I saw have this disgusted look on her face asking him how many orders is that once he replied 5 she then rolled her eyes and continue baking. My question is was I wrong for exchanging or asking him to replace milk for soy because my children and I have a lactose sensitivity. Then from there no one bothered to ask my children and I if we needed help or was everything okay. The visit was very disappointed I truly expected more. The food was very plain and the coffee to me was mediocre at best. But truly all of that could have been remedied if we had just felt welcomed.

Great food, great coffee, extremely cute atmosphere, and friendly service. They also have a some options for different dietary restrictions. My favorite coffee shop! Friendly for all types of people and kids.

The pies, Donuts, and cookies are great!! They do a lot to support local artists and TSA , which is amazing. The coffee is lovely as well, if you're looking for something sweet, try the Ohio honey lavender!

Black Kite Coffee and Pies is the best place in Toledo for a quiet study session, a social gathering, a moment of relaxation before and after the work day, and a delicious cup of coffee or tea.

They also have great food and host many events centered for Toledo-local enthusiasts.

A great place for couples, students, families (they have story time!) musicians, artists, business men and women, and - of course - coffee lovers!

It can be pricey. But the atmosphere is great for studying and the abundance of natural lighting makes it really refreshing. Friendly staff, excellent local coffee.

Trendy, bohemian, great coffee and savoury pies. Serving staff is great. Five stars if they had cream cheese, smoked salmon and a bagel at breakfast and lunch.
