Black Kite Coffee

I had such a lovely experience here! On a grey day it was a nice cozy find. I had a winter spice orange latte with almond milk and it was the perfect amount of spice and mildly sweet. I also was surprised to find they had gluten free and vegan options. I myself bought the peanut butter chocolate bar and it was quite tasty! A little on the sweet side for me, but still amazing that they have these bars to offer. There's not much around the area, but a quiet place to hang out with friends or get some work done.

I moved back to Toledo, Ohio in 2015! I am SO upset with myself. That I never toke the time to check this place out. When my son visits Toledo, Ohio. He makes sure he stops at this Café/Small restaurant. I went in to get something specific, what I wanted was a seasonal item. I was told about the “ Bagel Ball
bagel stuffed with cream cheese, roasted red peppers & scallions, with strawberry mixed in” hands down DELICIOUS!!! Well worth the money. Trust me, this place is my go to for now on.

One of Toledo’s best! Friendly Staff and Great Beverage and Food Options. Very creative indeed. I love the brunch options. Ample parking spaces and street parking available. Big windows for natural light.

First time here. Our party ordered cappuccinos, mocha latte, and regular coffee. All of their coffee drinks were excellent. We also all ordered cinnamon rolls and they were very good and fresh. They have a nice selection of coffee drinks and pastries. We didn't try their wines but they have a nice selection. Nice atmosphere, clean, fair prices. Friendly staff.

Wow. Their weekend brunch is to DIE FOR. I brought in family from out of town just to try their weekend brunch. The flavor pallette of their fried pork over french toast with tart apples is something very unique to this place. The tomatoes with their breakfast hash is such an amazing compliment. Oh and they serve amazing cocktails for their special :))) WOW! I'll be here every weekend now.

Breakfast brunch is served Saturday and Sundays from 9am-1pm

Also their latte's taste different then most coffee shops in a good unique way. I love when coffee shops have varying tastes and their iced raspberry latte is very well put together. They have great bagel balls and turkey pesto sandwiches that can be bought on anyday of the week.

Lastly coffee is locally roasted here in Toledo by flying rhino.

stopped here while on a business trip. the barista’s were so friendly. those bagel balls are amazing, I still dream about them. I had a strawberry coffee (I think it’s a spring 2023 special) it was so unique and tasty. will definitely visit whenever I am in town!

I don't even really like coffee but I like this place. Got a caramel latte (I think). Pretty mild medium roast. Not too bitter for a non coffee enthusiast. Wish I tried the bagel balls everyone raves about. I tried a turkey pesto sandwich and was a little disappointed. We went pretty early in the morning but it seemed like a yesterday's sandwich that was microwaved. Light on the turkey, light on the cheese, light on the pesto.

This eclectic, independently owned coffeehouse in Toledo, Ohio’s historic Old West End neighborhood serves up delicious fresh Cafe Americano beverages and attracts a loyal, vibrant, and enthusiastic clientele. It is definitely a place to see and be seen in Toledo. It is not as elitist or snobbish, however, as the Toledo institutions that cater only to doctors, lawyers, and educators. When you want to shop local in Toledo, the place to do it is Black Kite Coffee.

The prices are reasonably low given a high inflationary time. That alone merits 5 stars. Chill environment, spacious, lots of windows, big drink selection, good bakery items. Can’t ask for much more

Really awesome coffee shop. Spacious and cozy. I had the low calorie breakfast sandwich which was delicious and a large iced mocha latte which was also tasty. It’s the perfect setting for a day of studying and there were several people who came just for the food etc. the staff was friendly as well and there’s a bunch of parking in the lot next to the building. Highly recommend. Had a productive day.

Worst service and worst tasting latte ever !

I come in and. try to place an order and the person at the cash register doesn’t even greet me let alone acknowledge me. Just a blank stare. No ,” good morning, how can I help you, or, welcome to Black Kite how can we help you go ahead and order when you’re ready". Nothing, just a stare . Apprx 20-30 seconds go by with person staring at me then, I finally figure she’s unable to communicate but more than likely can hear me, so, I place my order, and to my surprise she can actually speak and tells me my total.

This is just the beginning .

While I’m waiting for my order 4 more people come in behind me and place orders, all the while I’m staring at the coffee grinder/espresso machine while one person sees me but continues with making meat pies. The other, I’m assuming a manager possibly, all the while I’m waiting along with all the people that come in behind me she ignores everyone and does nothing to assist with doing something as low effort as making coffee drinks, can’t even pour one customer a cup of hot water for his tea he ordered . She stares at me but continues speaking with the other 2 employees(one man'ng the cash register, the other, making meat pies, or, whatever it is he’s doing are busy , all she continues doing is speaking to the other two and is so sensationally lazy she refuses to help push any orders out .

I end up waiting 15mins for a latte .

POOR SERVICE!

I’d give a negative 5 stars if it were possible

The latte, I couldn’t take more than a couple sips of because it was so horrible .

Save your $5.50 and go elsewhere .

I always want to support our local businesses but some make it impossible to want to give them business even. This would be one of them.
