The Slow Train Cafe

Coffee was tasteless like they were serving worse than off brand coffee. The service took too long.
If you go for any flavors but the basics and i mean basic don't bother.

Slow train is an open environment larger coffeplace/bar with natural lighting. For a smaller underground feel with the same coffe options & bagels, go to the Local. The Wifi is usually usable, but known to be inconsistent to the point that there are many student memes about playing the offline chrome dinosaur game while they are in Slow Train. There is a decent number of outlets, and different seating options. The staff is usually made up of students and recent alums. Students constitute the majority of the people frequenting slow train, faculty, staff, and people from the town are regulars as well. While there is more seating in Slow Train and you are more likely to find seating there than at the local, Slow Train is quite popular and often crowded.

Have been here 2 times now drove 30 mins and both times closed even says they are open!!!! Here I am on a Saturday at 2:15pm and closed even though it says 5pm!!!!! Kind of disappointed!!!!!

Awesome local business serving quality drinks and treats. Great atmosphere to get some work done, socialize, or just let time pass.

Nice service, clean store and bathrooms. Coffee selection very good for the area. Its obvious they are trying and working hard. Will back when in town.

This coffee shop offers friendly service and wonderful coffee and pastries. We sat on a comfortable sofa, sipped coffee, worked on our laptops, and enjoyed the atmosphere.

The dirty chia latte was tasty, and the service was quick yet polite. Perfect place to study with the ambient chatter and plants! Plenty of outlets!

Cute place downtown Oberlin! Was a nice setting, great coffee & espresso selection. They even have liquor & live music scheduled for different times.

Very friendly staff with a very warm inviting atmosphere. You can't help but feel at peace when you walk in. I'm not a coffee drinker and yet I enjoy going in there every day

This is the place where all the action begins and ends. If you don't see someone you know ,it's too crowded to see them . It's hard to believe they can provide such great coffees and food so cheerfully and efficiently but they do,every time.
