The food is steady going downhill, I was forced to eat there recently due to a birthday party and nothing else being open that late down town....but this place is circling the drain. Worst brunch/lunch of my life.

Attempted to eat here one Friday for lunch was seated and never waited on for 10 minutes while someone who got seated after us was given menus and water. Got up to ask if we could have water and menus was told by a waitress that they would have to find someone to serve us. I immediately left. Terrible service, will not go back.

Wonderful clam chowder, drinks, lamb fettuccine! Friendly staff including wait staff, chef who came out to talk, and others. Flawless.

The food was amazing! Our server (DK) is really the best in the business and I can not recommend him enough.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Washington. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Washington.Highly recommend!

First time here tonight with my husband for date night. Definitely will be back. Amazing from as soon as we first walked in. Drinks, food and view made for an awesome night. I recommend the Bee’s Needs for a cocktail choice 😊

Went here for dinner with a friend. We had good service & our food was great. I ate the swordfish. So good. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

What a wonderful experience... "Experience" being the key word here, because not only was the food amazing, but from the moment our party walked into the restaurant, we were made to feel special and attended to.
I did not have a drink, but the rest of my party all enjoyed their carefully crafted, beautiful cocktails. We started off with the Greek chicken wings, chicken yakitori, and pork belly skewers. All three were a hit at our table. The Greek chicken wings were so tender and juicy and slid right off the bone. I loved the seasoning of lemon, feta, and sea salt; they were mouthwatering. We were practically fighting over them! The skewers were equally enjoyable; they are cooked over a traditional yakitori grill and they had a wonderful flavor. The pork belly was so melt-in-your-mouth amazing! They also came with a lovely kimchi that is fermented in house. What a great way to start the meal off.
Then, the main course came. I ordered the mushroom pasta, and it was exquisite. They do not skimp on the mushrooms at all; you get a generous helping of two types of mushrooms atop a portion of bucatini that is fresh and tender from being made in house. The bits of argula microgreens dotted throughout the dish give it a fresh lightness that was so refreshing. I cleaned my plate!
For desert, we had both the chocolate mousse and the olive oil cake. The chocolate mousse was so rich and lovely; a bit of espresso lends complexity to the wonderfully textured mousse, and the peanut butter cookie crumbles on top are a pleasant addition. The olive oil cake was one of my favorite parts of the meal. The cake lends itself perfectly to absorbing so much of the perfect crème anglaise and dots of blueberry coulis. It was worth soaking up every bit!
Throughout the meal, the service from the waitstaff was impeccable. Our waitress was personable and attentive, and the other waitstaff who assisted were knowledgeable and eager to explain the nuances of each course. We were checked in on by the hostess, manager Daniel, and Chef Do throughout the meal to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We honestly had nothing but good things to say each time someone came to our table to check in. I cannot remember the last time I felt so attended to during a dining experience.
I highly, highly recommend the Mulberry House as one of the most elevated dining experiences available in Eastern North Carolina. It is worth coming to Washington from out of town to enjoy (luckily for me, I live close by, but would certainly make a drive to return if I had to!) The amount of thought and care that has been put into each dish by the experienced chefs cannot be overstated. My whole party had a lovely experience. We felt so welcomed and appreciated for choosing the Mulberry House. We will be coming back for my birthday dinner, and hopefully many more times to come.
