The Mulberry House

The staff at this restaurant truly treat everyone with a smile on their face and eagerness. I’m never disappointed anytime I come in. My server, Mickey, was attentive and caring with a refreshing outlook on life. She navigated me through the menu with ease and made my dining experience seamless. I will definitely return. Everything at this restaurant is done with heart and you can taste their passion in the food. It’s one of those meals that make you dance without noticing.

What a beautiful space, adorned in modern furnishings and highlighting some of the historic nature of the downtown Washington area. Sip on perfectly crafted cocktails while viewing the calming water of the Pamlico. This a must see/experience/enjoy. Food and service could not have been better, we can't wait to go back!

The Mulberry House Brewery in Washington, North Carolina is a delight for the senses! I enjoyed the Sunday Jazz Brunch bar side in early October with my friends Roz and Bob Wallace.

The 3–course Prix Fixe Brunch included a family style first course of salad and crostini with hummus and pickled red onion. Both were beautifully plated and tasted delicious. I selected the Salmon Pastrami (served over steamed rice and garnished with slaw and pickles) as my main course and I loved, LOVED, LUVED it! It was so yummy that I tried unsuccessfully to get the recipe from the owner. Who knew that was even a thing? It is and it is scrumptious! The third course was a mini waffle served with a fruit compote. It was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My only issue was that it was served as a dessert and the southern girl in me wanted it right beside my main course. I paired my brunch with a refreshing margarita, and it was the perfect pairing for my meal.
If you are up for a day trip from anywhere across the state of North Carolina, head to Washington for a delicious meal in a beautifully renovated space with relaxing river front views. A delight for the senses and well worth the trip!

Took my dad out for a very belated Fathers Day dinner. I never saw his smile drop throughout the whole meal. He was calling every server “his girl so and so” or “his boy so and so”. Our waitress Lexi was amazing as always. My dad looked forward to talking to her every time she came to the table. She put up with all my dad’s dad jokes with a genuine smile. Reem and Mohamed made sure he was surprised with a set table of hors d’oeuvres upon arrival. All the food came out cooked to perfection. Huge shoutout to the kitchen staff for accommodating everything to my dads taste. Our water glasses and our drinks were never empty. Our dirty dishes were taken quickly. Thank you guys for everything you made my dad so happy. Our dinner went perfectly. 💛 I got the new New York strip for my mom to go and the tuna steak for my boyfriend to go and both were demolished within 10 minutes. My boyfriend said the tuna steak was seasoned to perfection and delicious and I can attest to that myself. My mom finished her steak in record time and she’s very picky about steaks. I had the little ear pasta which is amazing as always I get it almost every time I go for dinner. My dad had the ribeye and was actually shocked by how good it was. Good food, friendly staff, and an atmosphere you can’t beat.

I absolutely love the Mulberry House! It is has the most calming, relaxing atmosphere I know. It is always beautiful on the inside, especially with the decorations. Honestly, the Mulberry House Brewery is the greatest addition to little Washington; it has to be one of my favorite places to go! My favorite part would have to be the coffee. Their coffee is so delicious, and their staff is so nice, especially Luna. She is always smiling, happy, and she really adds to the place's atmosphere. This place is amazing!

Abby was my server here. Let me tell ya, I’ve been to thousands of high end establishments and seldom, if ever, will you find the professionalism and personality that Abby brought to the table. Looking forward to coming back just to see her. Surf and turf is worth the money. Woulda paid at least $9 more honestly. Roof top is very Instagram-worthy! Take a new profile picture up there!

The Mulberry was initially refreshing. Good food. However, there is a senior waitress that has poor customer relations skills that are demonstrated towards internal and external stakeholders. This is the 3rd occasion I stopped in to purchase a cupcake and staff asked her to confirm if it was “lemon”. She nonchalantly stated, “ I don’t know. It’s yellow so maybe it is”. The expectation is the service staff is aware of the products being served. More importantly, this behavior is demonstrated in the presence of a customer. I’m not sure that I will visit again. Totally disappointed for a 3rd time. It’s definitely a teaching moment.

We love the atmosphere at The Mulberry and they have excellent lattes. Emily made me a wonderful lavender latte the last time we were there. Sunday brunch is delicious. I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. And it’s a great spot for special occasions.

Fantastic new restaurant on beautiful waterfront of Washington. The food is delicious and drink selection is great. This location also has a great coffee house through the day. Highly recommend. It is on the higher end of price and food selection but worth checking out. A much needed addition to Washington water front.

I came in one morning to get a quick breakfast bite, I decided to go with the chicken and waffles. Let me tell you, it was delicious and savory. One of the best I have ever had!! I feel like The Mulberry House is a great addition to little Washington. I will definitely come back for lunch or dinner, maybe even both!!
