Visited Grind Cafe for a quick bite and coffee, I’m always venture out of my comfort zone and decided to try the Tinga Tacos. I need to mention that Tacos are in my DNA, the flavor was Ok but the biggest mistake was to serve the tortilla cold and the ingredients hot, a big no-no for tacos.
The Turkey sandwich was better, service needs improvement as well, prices are high for the food and service provided.

First time going. Was greeted more like an inconvenience than niceness. Maybe they she was getting stressed out of how busy they are back to back. There was an old man there seemed to be familiar with the staff taking up room not eating(when I saw him) but scopping out who he could talk to next. Not in a creeper way but more like he wanted someone to care about what he had to talk about.Luckily he left me alone. The seating inside isn't a lot which is expected in an older building. There's seating outside as long as it's not obviously raining. I got the French toast. It was good. Whomever brought it out to me seemed nice and smiled. The one who took my order wasn't so friendly. Wanted to try local. Won't be back, but I suggest you at least give it a try and see for yourself if you've ever wanted to. I just didn't like the initial start of it all. For being in North Carolina there wasn't a warm welcoming from the start considering the food isn't on the cheap side. At least she didn't fake it so I give her a star for being honest.

First time dining here for brunch. They have a cool atmosphere and the service was quick. The food was very good!! We'll be back.

Traveling on 12/31/2022 from home to NYC, staying overnight at Hotel Morgan and had great coffee here - light brew taste cherry and citrus. Also their breakfast sandwich is a great option before heading out.

I met my spouse of 2 years here and I'm convinced the coffee and atmosphere sold them 💖

Personal attachments aside... Their coffee is really fantastic. They have a lovely selection of syrups that most places don't have (try the amaretto syrup!). The food is next level no matter the time of day and the atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. Their servers are super kind and understanding and would love to help you find your new favorite drink!

TLDR: You *have* to try this local gem!

How wonderful to have this little coffee shop right in the heart of downtown. But I definitely do not recommend going there.
I understand they have their “rules”, but any business that would refuse to allow an ELDERLY PERSON with a SMALL CHILD use their restroom unless they made a purchase is a HARD NO for me.
They need to do much better!! It doesn’t cost anything to be nice!!

Stopped in on my way to Lenoir and got a sugar free hazelnut latte. They have some nice sugar free options! I just forgot to ask if the almond milk is unsweetened or if they offer heavy cream ( for keto options and my brother is a juvenile diabetic) so I am hoping someone working here will see my review and answer :p. My family loved the overall atmosphere too!

Outstanding small town coffee shop with amazing quality coffee and some of the best gravy biscuits in the Southeast! Love the ownership and atmosphere. Highly recommend the Cafe Au Lait!! Can't wait for more live music!!! Great outside seating as well and clean restrooms. Best coffee house in Burke County! Love the White Chocolate Macadamia Latte!!

The space itself is beautiful, in a walkable part of Morganton. The food and drinks come out quickly and are wonderful. The staff is astounding though. Friendly, personable, and I just watched a staff member take an entire order communicating in sign language. The whole experience warmed my heart.

Coffee is decent but pretty expensive for the portions you receive. My biggest complaint is with the young girl with dark hair who works there. She has the absolute worst attitude and always acts like you’re a bother. I mentioned her to one of my coworkers after having just visited and my coworker knew immediately who I was describing, and said she always has the same encounter. I can’t believe this is really the best they could find to hire
