Very good. Had lunch and the sandwiches were well made.

Food is ~4 stars. However, somehow they got a bunch of most undertrained waitresses you could ever met in your life. It took 10+ min for my waitress to show up and take my order, and it took 20+ min for them to get my check; the best thing is, this is not the first time it happened. Will not be back before they get a group of people that know what they are doing

Amazing food, prices and service. Mac and Emily Matthews have both served me here and been so attentive and helpful, even when busy! Other reviewers clearly have absolutely no clue how a restaurant works - if the restaurant is full, the bartender will obviously take a bit longer as they are making drinks for everyone in the restaurant. Some people need to realize they have no superiority to anyone else in the restaurant and being a customer doesn’t give them some infallible power. This place and all employees are fantastic! If your day is ruined because it took a few minutes for your server with 8 other tables to realize your coffee was low, with all due respect grow up and give up your god complex. Love you CCS!

Freshest waffle ever, berries are in excellent quality as well
Wonderful service

Polite server, clean restaurant. 20 minutes for a latte that we didn’t drink . Bacon was under cooked and not edible. I wish I would have spent 30 dollars somewhere different.

The breakfast food is good if you get there early. The location is great, and prices are very reasonable as well. These two stars are because the service is consistently abysmal. Both in wait time and quality, this is one of three restaurants I've ever walked out of because I couldn't even get a coffee order in within 10 minutes of being seated. I've only gotten a coffee refill once here because I had finished the mug by the time they brought my food.

I still return (more and more scarcely) because of the food and location, but I make sure to only get there either on weekdays or extremely early before the rest of Chapel Hill wakes up to hedge my bets. To be clear, the service is terrible even when they don't have the excuse of a breakfast rush and there are plenty of empty tables and idle staff. This seems to be a consistent problem based on the other reviews, but if they would just iron the service, this could very well be the best breakfast on Franklin street.

A busy local favorite with a menu of staples. Food quality is average . Service is friendly but 2 of three dishes were not exactly what we ordered.

took my friend to brunch as she was leaving town for a few months, and this has always been my favorite breakfast place in Chapel Hill. My friend and I are long time restaurant-industry workers and never in my life have I seen or experienced such poor service. The first 3 times our server, Emily M, walked over to our table she did not even acknowledge us until we finally waved her down to place our order after waiting for 20 minutes to even get drinks. Never wrote down our order- forgot a majority of what we asked for & had us wait atleast 15 minutes to refill our water. The food was good as always, but it got cold as we waited for the butter we asked for before the food even hit the table. Sucks to see such an amazing place be run into the ground by college students with absolutely no work ethic. :(

All the tables were filled and were told there was a 15 min wait. Went to the bathroom and there was no soap, no paper towels, and the electric dryer was broken. Told the hostess and she said they ran out of soap. The wait turned into about 45 min but the weather was good so happy enough to wait. Once seated we got our waters and mine tasted strangely sweet. The other 3 waters were normal tasting. So got another water. Coffee was good. I tasted 3 of the 4 dishes we ordered. Mine was the avocado toast. It was pretty much tasteless so I went to salt and pepper but only salt on the table. The waffle was cold and did not taste freshly made. The eggs Benedict was also cold and overly salty. We ordered a side of fries which did not come with the meals and noted this to the waitress. The fries then came at the end of the meal so we just got them to go. The waitress only came once to see if we needed a refills and this was also after we had finished eating. I know this is a hometown favorite but we were unfortunately very disappointed overall.

Meh... Very long wait time and the quality of food is just average.
