This is a great restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was terrific!!! I got a mushroom and Swiss omelet with grits. Everything was cooked to perfection.

Went for Sunday brunch and it was a wonderful experience! All the food was fantastic and service was great. Really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy with hash browns — everything was well cooked and I’ll most definitely be back, thank you for always doing your best CC!

We've used Carolina Coffee Shop to host business dinners twice so far in 2023 and we've really enjoyed our visit each time! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everything's taken care of, from food to drinks to the event space. The food is always excellent! The space is beautiful and such a wonderful spot to host events — we'll certainly be back!

I couldn’t tell you how the food was because we never got served. We waited 15 mins for a table which was fine, they were busy. We got seated and a waitress who was in training informed us that it was her first day. We asked for a cocktail menu and she we to find out if they had cocktails. She came back and brought us those menus. We waiting another 25 minutes and no one ever came back to our table. We watched the server trainer and trainee attend to every other table but ours. We ended up getting up and leaving to find somewhere else for brunch. Never again.

I recently stopped in for a leisurely brunch while visiting Chapel Hill for the day. I had the sweet little table right by the window on Franklin Street. I was served by Ryan, a very handsome, polite, and pleasant waiter. While sipping on a delicious Bloody Mary, I ate the tomato, spinach, feta, and onion omelet with grits and a biscuit. It was excellent. The tomatoes had so much flavor, and the biscuit rivaled my mother's. What a lovely meal!

Went down to Chapel Hill for graduation. By far the best place I ate. One of the cooler coffee / breakfast spots that I have ever been too! Highly recommend!

My hotel recommended the Carolina Coffee Shop and with the weather being so comfortable I sat outside; other than a light mist (I do live in Seattle☔️) it turned out quite nice I I could enjoy an array of people-watching😎
The Stash Chai Tea started brunch perfectly, moving onto a perfectly balanced Swiss & Mushroom Omelette (which they kindly scrambled for me) which paired with grits and a homemade biscuit.
The day off brunch concluded with a smokey bitter Mezcal Negroni😄
Now to see what else Chapel Hill has to offer🤔

I've heard a lot about this place and had high hopes for it, but my experience was far from what I expected.
As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, I was disappointed with the quality of the eggs Benedict that I ordered.
The hollandaise sauce was not properly emulsified and had a grainy texture, indicating that butter was overcooked, on top of that it has to much lemon juice in it, so it tasted very sour. Poached eggs were rubbery and overcooked. Unfortunately, even the side of hash browns it came with, were in reality a pile of deep fried overcooked chunks of something that remotely resembled the taste of potatoes. These are all basic mistakes that should not occur in a professional kitchen.
I considered sending the dish back, but because it took so long to receive my original order, I decided to just deal with it.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality breakfast.

After seeing the reviews I was really excited to go to this place. However, was pretty disappointed. The food was good. Not crazy delicious, but good. But the coffee was not. And for being called carolina coffee shop I was really wanting it to be good. We ordered and the waitress, Elle, was awesome. Very sweet girl and attentive. But the barista Maranda was just not doing anything. She was talking to her friends behind the hat the whole time, and we got our food before she even began to make our coffees. When we got them, theybwere terrible. I am a barista, and I know what espressos drinks should look, taste, and feel like. And they were rough. Mine was so bad I didnt drink it. Sorry if that sounds mean, but your the Carolina Coffee shop... your coffee and espresso drinks have to be on point. Again, Ellie was great! But yeah, yall need to work on the barista and drinks. I had to go down the street to Starbucks after to get coffee.
