Horrible off-putting host who seemed like they wanted to ruin our night out. I didn't even like my entree, the "ramen dish", as it was way too salty and became cold within a few moments because we had to sit in front of a door that was constantly being opened. I asked the rude host several times to move us to a table, but they would not so we felt discriminated against.

One of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to. We heard about how great it was, and it was even better than we were expecting. Try something different, like the raw vegan dishes, which are outstanding.

Stellar dinner! This was not simply a meal, but an EXPERIENCE. Photos attached are Grilled Beets and Raw Veg Lasagna.

The title to this review should be WOW!
Or how about AMAZING!
Or SupercalafragalistikexpiallaFANTASTIC!
Let me start with the service. Friendly greeting at the door and exceptional tableside attention. Allison was our server and provided us with a Robb Report (look it up if you don't understand the reference) 5 star experience.
And now the food. WOW....just WOW! A tantalizing mix of styles and flavors. We started with the Crispy Potatoes and the Something Nice Grits. Potatoes were spot on and the salsa verde was the perfect accent. Not many restaurants can get grits right but the Plant chefs pulled it off to perfection. Next was the Cheese plate. The magical flavors of the different cheeses, mixed with the golden beets and bread, was truly innovative and intoxicating. After devouring that we moved on to the Curry. Not as much curry broth as I like but a spectacular flavor. We ended the night with the creme brulee and carrot cake. Did I say WOW? Great portion sizes and jaw dropping flavors.
Vegans and omnivores alike will enjoy everything about Plant. Take a moment to order takeout or schedule a reservation. You will not be disappointed.
Bravo Plant! Bravo.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Asheville area! We have eaten here many times and never disappoint. Consistently delicious!

First time at a vegan restaurant. Wonderfully surprised at the flavors and presentation. The cheese plate was tastier than actual cheese. And the creme brule was amazing.

Hands down the BEST restaurant in Asheville, no question. I moved here 2 years ago from Las Vegas and have been very disappointed in the restaurants in Asheville, vegan and non vegan. I started going out to different restaurants with a group of 5 friends every couple weeks (I am the only vegan in the group). When we finally dined at Plant a few months ago everyone was blown away and we all unanimously agreed that Plant is by far the best restaurant in Asheville. I've been back 3 times since, and every single thing I've tried has been a heavenly flavor explosion on my taste buds. My non vegan friends agree and have joined me again on the multiple visits. The chef is a professional at his craft, the presentation is beautiful, the ambiance is romantic/vibey/comfortable, and the staff are friendly and informed. One of the only restaurants in Asheville I will recommend to locals and tourists. Has the quality and perfection of the best, top restaurants in Los Angeles or New York City. The rest of Asheville needs to take note and step it up.

Best vegan food I've ever had. The cheese plate was one if my favorites. It has an aged cashew cheese that is so delicious it is unreal; I've never seen so much energy put into vegan cheese before. It isn't a terribly big menu but every single plate has something to boast about. The venue isn't very big, but it is cozy and candle lit. The staff is very friendly and they are very knowledgeable about where each ingredient comes from. An all vegan restaurant is hard to pull off, and coming from Orlando I've been to a few. Plant pretty much writes the book on how it's done.

GO HERE! I am an omnivore and thoroughly loved this restaurant. The food quality, preparation, and taste is artistry. My wife, a former vegetarian, was in heaven and called this food f'ing amazing. This restaurant may a bit more expensive than others, but, I can attest , it is absolutely worth every penny.

Nice experience at Asheville's premier vegan restaurant; I always appreciate an open kitchen. Top plates for me were the Toast, BBQ Brussels Tostados, and the Lemon Cheesecake.
The Ravioli is overhyped, same with the "cheese" board; however; be certain to take advantage of the daily menu add-ons.
Intimate inside seating and lots of parking.
