Let me start off this review by stating for the record that I am not a Vegan. I am however open to trying new things and Plant was recommended by a friend so I agreed to give it a try.

Arrived with my date at 5pm (that's when they open) on a Saturday night without reservations but we were seated right away. Within 30 minutes the place was packed and guest's without reservations had to wait or were turned away. Keep this in mind if your dining on a weekend.

The atmosphere is really nice, the wait staff is very attentive and the tables are cozy. You can talk to the guests at the table closest to you if your inclined to do so. We were visiting from Wilmington and we had a great conversation with the diners at the table next to us.

Our waitress made recommendations based on my carnivorous nature for appetizers and entree's. The food presentation was amazing and the flavor and taste was very good.

My date enjoyed my various facial expressions as I tried new and interesting foods, flavors and textures. I didn't enjoy the entree and the waitress quickly offered to replace it with another item from the menu. I declinec the offer and she siad she would take the entree off our bill. I thanked her and told her that wasn't necessary but she insisted.

To sum up the experience, it was GREAT!! The atmosphere, the service, the food, and the vibe of the place. Put this on your list of "must try" if your in Asheville.

One of the best vegan restaurants I've ever been to! Top notch quality from top to bottom! Do yourself a favor and support a beautiful establishment!

An NC treasure, plant is a delicious and amazingly satisfying dining experience regardless of your status as a vegan, vegetarian or omnivore. A vegan couple recommended that we vegetarians check it out ten years ago, and my wife and I make sure we visit once or twice each time we are in town. The staff, ambience and most importantly, the menu, is consistently on point. I even brought my omnivore friends here the day before a hard rock show at the Orange Peel we were in town for and those dudes all gave plant 5/5 stars.

Arrived at the restaurant with no reservation. We were told it would be about 20 minutes for a table. 40 minutes later we were told we would get to sit at the bar soon as a couple was paying the bill. Shortly after a party of 6 came in with a reservation that the restaurant had no record of. They then sat the group at the bar and were unable to seat us. How the situation was handled was completely unprofessional.

Overall great experience...this restaurant truly deserves the 5 star designation. The menu is top notch, with unique and fresh flavor combinations. The signature cocktails are truly works of art as well. Service was very good but also laid back. Will be dining here again soon!

Very disappointed. We had heard so much about this place. Food was ok, not great. But high priced for the very small servings we got. Still hungry after eating and went across the street to the buffet to get something to eat. Not planning to go back.

This place was amazing! The atmosphere is beautiful, their food is unique and tastes great. I have never thought Seitan was this tasty to be honest. I wish I lived close, I would go often and try every one of their menu. It was dark so the photos aren’t good, but the actual plates were beautifully presented. The volume is a bit too much so I was full and took desert back to the hotel.

Came here for dinner and stayed for dessert. We got the actually crispy potatoes, smoked portabello, and for dessert had the blondie and blackout. Everything here tastes incredible. As someone who is grossed out by mushrooms, I was amazed at how unmushroomlike the smoked portabello tasted. It's on the pricier side, but it's worth every penny!

This place requires a reservation. We really wanted to try this so we waited and sat at the bar. Our waitress Audrey was awesome. I highly recommend the ravioli as an app. The pesto is amazing. The seitan was my main course and it was awesome. The beer was good and for a birthday dinner I couldn't think of a better place. My wife loved the desert. Chocolate blackout..... OMG.... To die for. And vegan!

We spent our 30th Wedding Anniversary in Asheville and chose Plant for our very special evening. Excellent food flavored to perfection treated our taste buds. Our appetizer, main courses and dessert were prepared and presented magnificently. We will definitely choose Plant again.
