Plant serves up ultra-seasoned and maximum flavor vegetables. Where else can you get a bowl of ramen with tofu, carrot, bok Choi, squash, mushroom, and a roasted pepper?

You may find it difficult to decide what to order and the helpful servers can help with that. Here were the dishes I would order again: carrots, grilled beets, brussel sprouts, toast!, and the blackout pie. The blackout is a must order. Seriously.

This restaurant is high-end and intimate. Worth coming for a unique vegan culinary experience.

Plant is hands down the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve lived in major cities with top rated vegan/vegetarian restaurants and this little gem in Asheville takes the cake.

Not only is the food incredible but every single one of the staff members is delightful. And overall it’s very reasonable priced.

I love this place. Don’t ever change.

I am not a vegan and this was one of the best meals I have ever had. We tried almost everything on the menu and everything was exquisite. Beautiful flavors and textures. Service (Olivia) was as exceptional as the food. Well done Plant!

How do they do it? Beautiful flavorful dishes that will make you forget there is not a ml of dairy or animal protein in any fishes. Good service. If it is on the menu, have the ravioli with, I believe, a cremini topping. So good with a fake Alfredo sauce that is delicious.

10/10 recommend. Best food, great service. We always have a wonderful time going here.

I usually rate my restaurants based on whether I want to return. I wouldn't want to eat again at Plant again due to the following reasons:
1) Our reservation was for 930 PM. We arrived early (830 PM) and asked if there was availability for us to be seated early, the host told us she would call us and let us know if anything opened up earlier, so we decided to walk around outside. We came back at 930PM and there were empty tables throughout the place meaning that she completely ignored our request. Also felt a little racism because she didn't ask our name and assumed that the reservation was for me.
2) The host called us at 925 PM and asked if we were still coming..? In what universe does a restaurant call patrons to ask if they are still coming 5 minutes before the reservation?
3) We were seated at a dirty table. We had to ask the server to wipe it down again.
4) The drinks for both me and my partner were not good.
5) We ordered cauliflower small plate (extremely oily and plain), the potato sliced special (also very oily and plain, just tasted like fried potatoes), and the cheese plate (the only good aspect of the meal).
6) Service was extremely slow. We saw the server chatting with other waitstaff at the bar and we had to stare her down to get her attention.

For what Plant is charging, the food, service, and experience was highway robbery. They charge top dollar and provided substandard food and shabby service. We were excited to try it out but unfortunately will not return and would not recommend to others.

Wow. There's a reason this place is rated well and packed (be prepared for a wait or first come first serve at the bar). I'm not vegan, but love flavorful food and must have gluten free options. This place delivers on all of that. Delicious food, good portions and almost entirely GF. The GF bread was maybe the best I've ever had. Highly recommend. I will be back.

Oh my god. Oh my god!!!! So delicious. Absolutely the highest level of vegan cuisine. I wish I lived here, I’d visit way too often. We had the cheese plate, a masala dish and ravioli. Each was better than the next. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone, including diehard meat eaters. Really, make a reservation and go. You will not regret it.

We recently had an extraordinary tasting at the chef's table, along with the cocktail pairing. It was 5 courses, plus two bonus courses (items the chef was developing and wanted to share), and 5 cocktails. It spanned about 2.5 hours of blissful dining, drinking, and very friendly and informative chatting with the chef and his assistants. Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, or omnivore, I'd highly recommend Plant. And do the tasting menu! We've done a handful of tasting menus around the country and this stands out as one of the best.

Our first vegan restaurant experience and it was marvelous!
I can't do dairy, he can't do pork, this was our compromise and we think we are onto something.
There is limited parking and seating is available I door, at the bar and outside. Sanitation score was 95. The atmosphere was earthy contemporary with an open grill, lots of plants and outside had metal tables and chairs with comfortable enough cushions.
The Food. We both had drinks, a local ginger beer (Ginger's Revenge) and a mojito (Raleigh rum). Our entree was the Applewood Smoked Mushrooms. It was served on a cauliflower risotto and topped with shaved fennel and dressing. I also tried the Saffron Creme brulee and it was so smooth!! Fresh blackberries and crushed pistachios. Wow!
