Randomly stopped in. Overall, a cute little space with adorably laid out sweets and bread. Bought 2 baked good items, a coffee, and coco. There was barley any coffee at the self serve station. The coco was nothing special; tasted like basic water & swiss miss mix. The desserts were overly moist to the point we couldn't east the bottom half because it looked, felt, and tasted wet.

Always a very relible cafe in upstate New York.

I ate breakfast there 4 days in a row. The bacon egg cheese and avocado breakfast sandwich was great. The staff were awesome. I will he back.

Bread Alone is a venerable institution in the Hudson Valley. High quality and varied baked products. The retail locations offer a healthy assortment of their edible wares. The sandwiches and coffee are very good - I really enjoyed their lox sandwich on a bagel. Great bagel, quality fish, not too much damn cream cheese.

The only knock is the crowding. This location is tough to figure out where to queue, what to do for a takeout order, and just getting through the door can be a challenge at times.

I was last here in winter of 2018 but will be returning to the area soon and can't wait to revisit this place. I had the best baked goods there, my favorite being the giant macarons. Yum!
Update: Went this weekend and ate the cheese danish and oatmeal cookie pie; both were fantastic. Unfortunately the eggnog macarons we got were hard as a rock but we didn't know it until we tried them later.

Outstanding facility with bakery options plus table service offers a lot of options. Food and drinks are uniformly good. Order bread to take away if you're not familiar with the brand -- many artisan varieties to pick from.

Excellent service and an enticing aesthetic in their dining area. Coffee was good although if you're used to the PNW perhaps you'll feel a little differently. Only had the oatmeal but everything in the menu seemed deliciously palatable.

We were expecting so much more from what we ate. At first sight it seems to be good but the only right word to express what we ate is "sadness". Sadness in no tasty food, in the waitresses, in the price. We didn't take the sweets because we were sad from the brunch. All stuff that you can cook home, with no try of making it cool and different from normal homemade.

I love sitting in the front area. The hum and buzz of people, the music playing in the background and the fact that the servers don't rush you out, makes my day! The Hudson River breakfast dish is my favorite. Every time I order it the bacon always rocks!! My favorite is on a weekend, when I can sit and enjoy people watching.

We head to Bread Alone every morning we are in Rhinebeck. The menu is always interesting, the food is terrific, the service prompt and friendly. The salmon is good. The ricotta pancakes are a favorite, and their eggs, toast, and bacon are outstanding. Best bacon you can find.
