First time here. Heaven on earth with this carbon neutral bakery and cafe. Daily Made breads and pastries were yummy in the tummy. I was only stopping by for coffee while driving towards Tannersville when I stumbled onto this gem on NY-28. The almond croissant was flaky and tasty. The ciabatta was crisp on the outside and soft like a pillow on the inside. Irving Farm NY Coffee - Vanilla Latte was nice added touch. Going to have to make this my road stop for any trip to Hunter / Phoenicia/ Tannersville / Lanesville area. Can’t wait for the weather to accommodate the outdoor seating.

This place is a great stop for anyone visiting catskill mountains.
The brand new space offers tons of seating!
The food is okay but the pork sandwich was EXCEPTIONALLY TASTY!
I don't recommend getting the pastries unless you can warm them up somehow, but everything else was pretty good!

Lovely staff. Delicious pastries. Beautiful new building (with the cutest tile work I've ever seen in a commercial bathroom.) Super yummy sandwiches (try the squash and halloumi, it's amazing.) One of my favorite places to stop on my way to the mountains!

Carbon neutral baker?!? Yes please! Delicious food without the use of fossil fuels makes my taste buds and conscience sing!
The sandwiches with fresh baked bread were delicious!
The pumpkin muffin was savory with a touch of sweetness.
The lemon currant scone was delightfully sweet.
And the blood orange mini tart hit the spot with a small candied slice of orange to top it off.

Super clean, modern bakery cafe. All wheelchair accessible. The baked goods are incredible (especially the breads), but they have a few artisanal grocery items such as cheese, spreads, and drinks. Great coffee as well, and plenty of indoor snd outdoor seating

It’s so clean and fresh and perfectly designed with its southern California meets upstate New York esthetic. Great seating options indoors AND outdoors. Service was friendly. Perfect place for coffee and a pastry OR brunch OR a hostess gift. Obviously combo of all 3 would work great ;). The wild flowers in the front were gorgeous too!

Have been going here for over a decade, this place has become a huge disappointment recently. A friend and I each order a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. The bacon is a $2.50 additional cost. Between both sandwiches, we received 1 slice of bacon that was burnt. Guess it time to find a better place.

I’ve been going here for well over a decade but only a couple of times each year when coming home from Belleayre skiing or hiking at the Ashokan or other local trails. This was my first time with the new building. The old building was kinda funky and cool. The new building is beautiful. Lots of tables are available to eat inside or outside. A new outside stand is being built which will add another nice aspect to stopping here to eat.
There is a new large solar field behind the building. A sign inside said they are carbon neutral. That’s a nice commitment they made. This adds to what always felt like a caring company.
What brings everyone to Bread Alone is the food. The breakfast menu has a good amount of items on it. I’ve ordered the Breakfast Burrito a couple of times and it’s delicious. That’s really not surprising as everything on their menu is delicious. A few times a year I get lunch from the Rhinebeck Bread Alone a few of their sandwiches and enjoy all of them.
If you stop there you will end up buying a few things to take home. It’s hard to leave without some type of bread or a muffin for breakfast the next day.

Unbelievable. I wasn’t going to write a review but after 3 chances this is warranted. First issue was they lost my ticket (not a slow day) and I waited over 30 minutes for an egg sandwich, next pick up order had cheese when I noted no cheese, finally a shard of plastic was found in my avocado toast. I went back and spoke to Haley who confirmed my Amex would be fully refunded. Over one week later and it hasn’t happened. There are not many breakfast places around here. Such a shame.

Not cheap but very good. We had roast pork sandwich, chicken club sandwich, avocado toast, cookies, and chocolate croissant.
