Great vegan breakfast! Staff is very friendly. Seating not crammed together and sidewalk tables are available.

Fantastic food and charming atmosphere. The gluten free vegan waffle and salad meal is literally amazing - I was amazed I could eat it with all my allergies, and I was amazed at the taste. The location is quaint downtown Ballston Spa, and there's plenty to walk to before and after your meal.

Counter service is friendly and fast, even when there's a long line. There's couches to rest on while you're waiting for take out or a seat. Prices are reasonable for the quality, which is always excellent. There's free street parking and nice restrooms. I love this place and bring all my out of town guests here.

A true local gem!! I’ve been wanting to try the Iron Roost for over 2 years after so many of my friends have given it rave reviews. Even after all the hype it STILL exceeded my expectations. From the friendly gentleman who greeted us outside and explained the ordering process, to the lovely girl behind the counter who we ordered from it was a wonderful experience. The bananas foster waffle is hands down one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. The atmosphere, menu selection and service are second to none. Definitely worth the 35 minute drive, looking forward to my next visit there!

The food was excellent. Great atmosphere and fast service once you get seated. I would definitely recommend using the yelp app to reserve a spot ahead of time!

This was a really fun breakfast place with good coffee and wide variety of sweet and savory waffles.The decor is industrial hipster: exposed brick, chalkboards, books, rolls of brown paper. The staff was charming and friendly, helping us navigate the menu and coffee choices.

The ordering process is like fast food, though the food is delivered to your table after after you place your order. The menu is on the wall so you can decide before you arrive at the counter. A staff person greets you in line to take your drink order, which is at the counter by the time you place the order. That way you can take your drink to your table where the wait person will bring your food when it's ready.

The food was delish. My friends ordered sweet waffles with fantastic potatoes on the side. My husband and I ordered the same savory waffles, but mine was gluten-free. They will make any of the waffles gluten-free; they even have a dedicated waffle maker to protect against cross contamination.

Overall, we had a delightful time. When I am next in the area, I will absolutely eat there again.

Really cute restaurant with a cool atmosphere. So bright and fun, and the food is delicious. I'm a huge waffle fan, and how they make their food is so creative. They have items that use a larger more fluffy waffle, or what I had was an egg sandwich inside a waffle, but more like the type of waffle they use for a waffle cone (but soft). It is a really nice place to meet people 1-on-1. Would love to come here again.

Clean, polite staff, NOISEY, not a place to linger. A step above fast food: food ordered at counter, delivered to table, at least they bus the table! Sandwich sounded great, lacked the zip that would prompt a return visit.

There is no other place, in our opinion, when choosing a breakfast venue in Ballston Spa.

The staff is incredible, all of their breakfast options are cooked to perfection and as requested, and my wife gets to enjoy her favorite breakfast foods gluten-free (and they aren't poor imitations of gluten-full foods).

Be sure to save your space in line on the Yelp app as there is almost certainly always a line. Our biggest wish is that they would be open on Sunday as we rarely have availability the other days, but when we are free this is where we go.
