We have been enjoying the La Fonda for 35 years and have loved each of our visits! Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are lovely and have been tastefully redone through the years plus it is a quiet, elegant place to stay. We love it and will keep returning!

Fantastic location, friendly staff, clean & comfortable rooms and on top of all that they have an amazing art collection! My only knock is that they charge an additional $6 per day to park in their parking lot in the back. Great place to stay when you're in Taos. I'll definitely be back!

Excellent historical value all packed into the Plaza. This Hotel is worth the experience. The clerk at front desk, Mars, was extremely helpful. Pic is out front with Teddy Bear from Chocolate store.

Nice location and a decent accommodation. I'm just not quite sure what to think of this place from a work/relaxation perspective. We arrived beat from a long hike and frankly were looking for dinner and some brainless time watching TV and catching up on some some social media. The TV and WiFi were pretty much useless. There really isn't any TV guide, local channels were a mystery and the WiFi connects you to Starbucks where you can access Google, but searches aren't available. I'm not whining, but if you're down with watching 60 year old reruns of The Andy Griffith Show or never using the internet this is your place.

Lovely historic hotel, cool decor and room was cozy! We enjoyed the fireplace in our room and the bathrobes. Definitely an old-school hotel experience, which we enjoyed. Would have liked some sort of breakfast for the price of the room, but the free coffee all day was great. Location can’t be beat. Paid parking was $6 per day in private lot, worth the price IMO.

They have a wonderful five star restaurant that has brunch specials and a coffee shop right downstairs excellent espresso!

Two stars because the restaurant was closed, the internet speed is 6-8 mbps and the rooms need some repair. It’s an older building but with a lot of class. Excellent front desk staff. However, as stated, it needs some upgrading. The internet is very slow and the rooms need some work. The ceiling in my room has some rain damage and it looks ugly and it's in need of repair. I would stay here again, but for a $200/night hotel....I would consider staying somewhere else as you have alot of choices in Taos. Alot of potential here that would be improved with minimal investment.

Stayed here after another smaller lodge failed to keep our reservation. I traipsed in to the front desk at close to 2 a.m., weary from the road and frustrated at my situation. The woman at the desk was friendly and more than willing to help. She made check-in super easy. The room itself was quite nice and the hotel was in a good location for getting out and about the next morning.

Room was nice, towels were very clean that's what I look for when traveling. Also it's right on the Plaza of Toas. No breakfast until September of this year.

What could be better than a colonial-style, clean and comfortable hotel set right on the main plaza in Taos? I've stayed twice, only sorry that the restaurant was not open the second time. Looking forward to another visit soon!
