Dusty Boots Motel

My wife and I visited this past week and of all the restaurants in Cloudcroft, the Dusty Boots Cafe was the one we kept coming back to. The food is excellent, the staff are the best and the whole place feels super homey and comfortable! We’ll definitely be back!

PS: best fried okra anywhere!

Our stay so far has gone really well. The first night we arrived, the owner had just finished making some banana bread and gave a couple of generous slices to us. It was so sweet and very appreciated after driving 13 hours with an infant. They're remodeling, but even with our room not yet being remodeled, it's still very nice and feels very clean. Our room has the bed, then a nook next to the bathroom where there's a fridge, microwave, table, and 2 chairs. This nook fits our pack-n-play perfectly, and gives our baby the darkness he needs to sleep and nap, so we can eat and watch TV in the actual room. Plus, it's great that they are pet-friendly since we brought our fur baby with us too! The cafe is across the parking lot and stays open until 9, which has been perfect for our "late" night snacks. It's located right as you enter town, but it's such a cute small town, everything's really close by.

We stayed at the motel and ate at the cafe during our weekend in cloudcroft. The kitchenette room was great- had everything we needed. The cafe was also good and did their best to fit in our party of 12 despite the occupancy restrictions at the time. We were glad to be there for Fried Catfish Friday!

Cloudcroft has it all. Dusty Boots eatery was fun. The outdoor table adds to the ambience. Menu is comprehensive, many item to choose, and not very expensive.

Service was excellent. Definitely a be-back place.

Are at the restaurant. Great burger! Finally somewhere that knows how to serve one without over cooking it! Came out perfect.

Awesome place, the people were so nice and the room was so neat! We were lucky enough that someone cancelled last minute because the place was full! Such a cozy little place and you get a free banana cake slice at the cafe !

While the Dusty Boots Motel and Cafe may seem only a typical small town motel at a first impression, it is in reality a true gem. The rooms are clean and furnished with unique decor, and the food for the diner is delicious, homely, the-way-it-used-to-be-made-from-scratch, old fashioned diner food. It is located on the main road but noise was a non-issue. My family and I enjoyed it very much for our short stay and will return for sure.

Great little family owned motel and cafe. A bit of a hold over from earlier days. If you like a modern fancy place, stay away. If you like a clean, friendly, welcoming place, this is your place. Very affordable, family run. Highly recommend. Never been to Cloudcroft but I'll come back just because of my experience here. Job well done. And thanks for the banana bread, my wife's is better! (But if I didn't say that, well, been married 36 years and like to stay that way)

Great food. Great atmosphere. Love the Meatloaf. Only gave it 4stars as 4out of 5 times we ordered off the menu they didn't make meatloaf that day. The have some items on the menu that they are always out of. Like meatloaf. When I ordered the meatloaf the waiter said they ran out of meatloaf yesterday.... I said but today is a new day. Moral of the story wake up early and make meatloaf. Thank you.

Very pleasant, rustic motel. Room well furnished with small fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, Jacuzzi tub with rain shower. Complementary banana bread on request from motel restaurant. Motel restaurant offers reasonably priced food-- We enjoyed breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
