Dusty Boots Motel

Massive amount of food and all of it delicious. Our waitress was amazing, despite being the only one in a packed house she was fast, efficient, and FRIENDLY.
Definitely give his place a try if you're in the area, you won't regret it!

Vicky and Dusty are wonderful. Their kitchen manager Tammy is a delight. If you haven't seen their new theme rooms, stop what you are doing and book a night. Prices are super reasonable and it's a 5-10 minute walk to downtown Cloudcroft.

I would ignore the long, personal review criticizing the decor, lack of shelf space, lighting, shower head, etc. Not only was it mean-spirited, it was mostly wrong. Sure, it is kitschy and shelf space in the bathroom is limited, but it is also clean, comfortable and well-run. Highly recommended.

Rooms are nice. If you are a bigger person, the shower can be a tight squeeze. Otherwise, loved my stay and would book again.

I really love their delicious home style meals and I was very impressed with how quickly a single cook can get those orders out even when the place is packed. I would also like to add that the service was excellent and everyone was very friendly.

This was our first trip to Cloudcroft and we would absolutely stay here again! It's an older (1960) motel with a lot of great character in an incredibly beautiful mountain setting. The owner was very responsive to a couple of issues we had in the room. We stayed in room 19, one of the original rooms (not updated yet). Note that we tend to look for older, family owned places like this to stay as they always have character that we love! The bed and TV are updated and everything worked as expected. The convenience of having the cafe and laundromat onsite was huge. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food at the cafe never disappointed! The daily banana bread was a bonus! Highly recommended! We will be back again!

Staff was super friendly and good was good, however, the server forgot one in our party good so we had to wait extra long for that. She did give us 10% off for that which was nice. Views were great and a good place to stop on a ride.

My wife and I go for Saturday German dinner night. My wife is German and says the cooking is as close to her Grandma's as a restaurant can get. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. Worth the trip every time.

Super charming motel in the woods! They took care when decorating the rooms and did a good job. I must say, the local elk that met us on our arrival weren’t trustworthy. They had a lurking eye on my mountain bikes…stay sharp around them. They’re everywhere up here.

Rooms are very nice and cozy. The decor is lovely. Cafe workers, however, are very rude and somewhat discriminatory. Would come back for the stay but not walking in that cafe again.
