Dusty Boots Motel

We loved our little overnight stay at the Dusty Boots motel. Dusty the owner was super helpful during our check in and we ran into him again helping out at the Cafe next door. Our room was so warm and cozy and nicely decorated and we had one of the best night's sleep here. Don't pass up on this cute little motel if you're passing through Cloudcroft.

This motel was an absolute GEM! The lady who checked us in was super sweet! The whole room was emaculate! It looks VERY recently remodeled but is also full of great character! Whoever designed the rooms did an amazing job with all the cute little touches! We got a discount for being hunters. The bed was so comfortable we literally didn't move all night!

Dusty and Vicky are very hospitable and will treat you like long time friends. The rooms are clean and each room has a theme. We were in the I Love Lucy room. The cafe is at the motel and has excellent service and food. We hope to return again soon. We highly recommend this motel and it’s very nostalgic.

We enjoyed our stay. Cafe is attached with awesome country food Large portions. We will definitely go back to stay.

Perfect! Our room was Little House on the Prairie themed and beautifully appointed with comfy beds and lovely decor. We were originally in the Roy Rogers room which was beautifully appointed as well. However, we had trouble fitting a full size blow up mattress on the floor, and the inkeeper was kind enough to let us switch to the Little House on the Prairie room as it had comfortable beds for each of the 5 of us.
Will definitely be back to Dusty Boots Motel!

Best place in Cloudcroft to stay! The rooms are clean and each one have a unique different theme. You can tell the owners have put alot of thought and care in to each room. We are from El Paso and Cloudcroft is one of our favorite weekend getaway, we now have a great place to stay the is nice and reasonably priced.

Rooms are imaginatively decorated, such as Shabby Chic, Lucille Ball, and Little House on the Prarie.
Many rooms have soaking tubs, extra beds, refrigerators, microwaves. Very clean when I was there. There is a good size hot tub, too!
Management helpful. Pretty awesome!

I would give it 5 stars if this was just for the hotel but since the cafe is under the same thing I will give it 4 stars. If the cafe was separate I would give it 1 star. We got asked to move tables (we thought it was since it was a larger table and there was only 3 of us) and after moving she put a “reserved” paper on the table and only 1 guy sat at the large table. They were out of chocolate milk and sourdough bread. The cups of juice were tiny. The omelette tasted watery and no flavor while my potatoes were not cooked thoroughly. My friend has the French toast and had no complaints. My other friend also had a different omelette that didn’t have flavor. Pancakes tasted doughy and not cooked thoroughly either. The motel part was awesome. Awesome design inside, felt like a cabin and decorated very nicely!

Our stay here was wonderful! We were placed in one of the normal rooms upon arrival, however due to a cancellation we were upgraded to a newly remodeled room at no extra charge. It was a nice gesture that we were not expecting. Vicky was an awesome host and was there for anything we needed. Also, the food in the cafe was amazing! This will definitely be the place we'll be staying at anytime we want to get away to Cloudcroft.

We stayed here December 22nd-27th, 2021 and spent our Christmas here. We at first were checked into the Route 66 room but there was a bathroom sink leak. The owners mived us to a new room immediately. What we really enjoyed is each room has a their own theme AND since we were staying there i er Christmas they had miniature Christmas trees in each room. It really perked things up and made things feel festive. They offered a Christmas dinner for free and it was absolutely delicious. They had a an awesome hot tub that felt awesome to soak in after a day of skiing, hiking or sledding. Thr owners are so friendly and allowed us to use their sleds to go sledding at White Sands National Park. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Cloudcroft. The place is so cozy and comfortable and in such a convenient location. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
