Kaleidoscoops Ice Cream and More

Way to much for the food. $40+ for 2 burgers. Not going back.

I've been here a couple times and had the same experience both times. It is a cool building that looks like it's out of the 60's and the signage is very inviting. However the service has been very poor both times, there were plenty of people behind the counter but they were more interested in talking to each other than helping customers. The ice cream is not labeled and I felt like I was intruding to ask what the flavors were. And the place is a bit dirty, it could really use some soap and water. The prices should be ok, but given the level of service they are too high. I love ice cream and will drive out of my way to get some, but I'm not sure if I'll stop here again even when I'm driving by.

The 3 years we've resided here, it been great! Love the banana splits! I always get the traditional and this place is never greedy with toppings. Always friendly and fast service. When my wife has a complicated order they always accommodate. Hats off to kaleidoscoops! Love it.

This place has great food and the best ice cream in town. It's pretty expensive but the food is good and it's almost like a home cooked meal.

The last couple of times we have gone they were out of a LOT of ice cream but I wasn't even mad. It kind of forced me to try something different.

Was one of my favorite places in town to eat until i came in today and saw that the food prices have jumped way high!!!! $14 for a burger fries and drink is crazy!!! Kids meal is now $10!! Cant think of anything to justify that much of a spike in prices!!!! Boooo on Kaleidoscoops!!!!!

Drove here after the caverns. There is only 3 employees and man are they hard working and as fast as they possibly can be. They are so kind. The food is good, the icecream is even better. Definitely worth the stop.

We went here just for ice cream, and I wasn't super impressed. I got a chocolate and peanut butter one and a caramel one, and while I could tell that the flavors probably were okay at one time... both tasted freezer burnt. It was almost like they had been sitting in the freezer for a long time. I've heard the food here is good, so I may go back to try that, but I don't think I'll go back for ice cream again.

Three big scoops of ice cream on a homemade waffle cone. This place has more different kinds of ice cream than any other in Carlsbad. Estimated to be at least 30 different flavors. They make fresh cones while you wait for your ice cream. The crispiness of the cones very it's kind of Hit or Miss depending on the server at the time. However the ice cream is first class.

The best cookies n cream ice cream I've ever had. It was different than others because it was a little salty but perfect! All the kids and my husband loved it and the waffle cones are homemade and large 😋 so good! Wosh we lived closer. Oh, and the staff was nice lol
