Pecos River Cafe

My friends and I stopped into this fine establishment on our way back to Texas. It had good reviews and the pictures of the food looked fantastic. So we walked in expecting some good food at the very least. We didn't expect the stellar service and the amazing speed to come with the delicious food. The pancakes smelled wonderful, the eggs perfectly cooked and the ham on my plate was incredible. As we ate we noticed that the entire staff was helping us, we never saw the same server twice, everyone was attentive and kind. It almost reminded me of watching a pit crew in Nascar. I would highly recommend the Pecos River Cafe. The service was some of the best I have had in a long time and the breakfast did not disappoint.

I visited Pecos River Cafe while sightseeing at the Caverns in Carlsbad. This is the best little cafe !! I can't tell you how much I loved their food. I'm very particular when it comes to my green and red Chile and they scored a home run in my opinion. I had the opportunity to order various plates off their menu and every time was excellent to say the least. Don't leave without taking a cinnamon bun with you. They are made from scratch and are delicious!! This cafe was clean and tidy and all the servers are kind and courteous, I'll keep coming back for sure ! Worth every penny!

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! The food has been consistently delicious for years! Staff is ready to serve & the meals come out so quick. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean. Ive never had a bad time when eating here.

I usually get the Tuna Melt and a soup on the side. You won't get a better Tuna Melt anywhere else. I have eaten the Tomato Basil & the Broccoli & Cheddar soups. Both hit the spot. If you want quality food and excellent service, definitely give this a try! 🥰👍👍👍❤❤❤

Good American food. Not so good Mexican food. We got pecos burger which came with green chilli soup and it was delicious. I got huevos rancheros and it was okay. It felt more Tex-mex than Mexican m. This place is loved by locals it looks like . The staff is very nice and we got seated pretty fast.

Had great first time experience here. Staff and Manager attentiveness exceeded my expectations. Had the breakfast quesadilla with chips and red salsa. I didnt realize how big it was gonna be ( can feed 2 people). I ordered a cinnamon roll ( before I got my order) and I was offered butter on top. Oh boy, it was delicious. Great atmosphere and will definitely be back again.

Definitely recommend for their breakfast. Big fluffy pancakes and omelettes of many kinds (western is my fave and they didn't disappoint). Would have given them 5 stars but their prices are higher than some. And the grill makes it smoky at times but will go back

Reasonable prices and good lunch portions. Great for sandwiches or a salad. During COVID they have 5-6 tables outside in their parking lot to sit down at. Otherwise you can get take out.

I'm not from these parts, we came to visit from San Antonio, Tx. And found this little place. The food is absolutely amazing. I had the Turkey & avocado sandwich (grilled). W the creamy green Chile soup. The pancakes are perfect. Everything we had was just delicious. The servers were very nice. The place is a bit small. But I did notice there's a a lot of to go orders. This was the second time here on THIS visit.

I visited this restaurant on my way back home. When I attempted to pay, my card had been subjected to fraud and my financial institution deactivated it. The owner told me that I need to pay my bill now. I explained to her that I was trying to. I even showed the waitress the amount I had in my account. Once I got it straightenEd out to where I could withdraw cash I came to the store and asked to speak to the owner and the waitress. The owner threatened to call the police. She told me that I had to leave something of value before I could leave the restaurant with my card to try and pay for my meal. I have never been accused of something like this, or been so embarrassed in my life. I gave the waitress a very good tip and told her that it's a shame that she has to work at such a poor establishment with horrible management.

Best Cinnamon Rolls & Coffe in New Mexico! The staff has always been friendly and service is quick. We've been here 2 days in a row for our Honeymoon trip.
