IHOP

My significant other and I waited in the lobby area for ten minutes until a server approached us. We were turned away because the cook was "overwhelmed". There were only 3 other tables seated, 2 had their food. The server who turned us away didn't appear to be sober in my opinion. I happily left.

Never eat here unless you have an hour or more to wait. Always too busy and short staffed.

I saw a lot of negative reviews, but the kids really wanted IHOP, so we went anyway. We had no issues with service or quality of food whatsoever. We even get some extras from the manager.

When we arrived there were just a few cars in the parking lot. Unfortunately there was only one cook and one server. Despite that once we received our food it was warm and delicious. I definitely tried not to focus on the fact that there was not enough staff because it wasn't their fault that some people chose not to show up. The server and the cook did their very best to accommodate everyone and I appreciate that.

Would never go here again. Took nearly an hour to be seated and another 40 minutes to get our food. Food was alright. Eggs were cold and bacon overcooked but the pancakes were okay. I understand being shorthanded but the restaurant had almost nobody else there. Almost missed going to Carlsbad Cavern because of this terrible experience. Wish I checked reviews first. Looks like this is the typical experience at this establishment.

Been here twice. First time I went was at 5:30am. I stood at the front for 5 minutes before anyone even came. Everyone was in the kitchen busy chattering. I had to pick a menu by myself. I ordered some steak tips breakfast and mexican trea leches pan cake. The stead was not cooked well. The pancake hardly had any of the tres leches toppings. Totally don't look like in the picture. I also ordered coke that cost about 2.70 or 3. It came in a regular small plastic cup. Totally waste of money. The staff are too busy chattering that a customer and a party of 3 walked in and out because no one came to seat them. The next visit. I've been to multiple IHOP in different cities and states. This is the worse among them all. It just lacks that ihop environment. That customer service you experience at other ihops.

I ordered online for a pick up since ive had bad dine in experience in the past. My order wax confirmed. I went to the restaurant after driving 20 minutes to get there and just to be told my food order was never made. Why ? The cooks never showed up to work! Hey...its Carlsbad...not the brightest locals. Whatever, just give me my refund. Guess what ? No refund ! Only the manager supposedly can do a refund and the manager was not even there! No manager for an operating business. No food and no refund 🤣 i was told to leave my information and will be contacted by the manager. It has been 3 4 days and i haven't got a phone call or a refund yet. Where is my money ? I can understand a bad terrible service. But where is the money.

I've never been to an IHOP that ran out of pancake mix. Service was an issue also. No help

Ordered at 6.50pm, food only came around 8pm. Hot drinks were no longer hot when food arrived. What's worse was that we were only informed some of the items were sold out an hour after ordering, leaving us with less food. Silverware were stained and dirty.

Was greated and sat quickly. Order was taken pretty quicm and food came fast!

Slow service. Food missing items. Food wasn't bad however.
