Missed our name when called. The hostess said no problem fit us in. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the water. The waitress was great. Very friendly. We all ordered the hungry man combo. The apple cinnamon pancakes were incredible. The blueberry pancakes are just as good. All the food was great and filling. I would recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a out of the way breakfast place, when visiting Atlantic City

Came here on a stop before heading back home up North. It’s a tiny spot, with great views, super fast service, great food and ultra friendly staff. I cannot praise them enough. The staff were all kind, helpful and had the disposition of sunshine. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the thin, crispy pancakes. Our waitress was amazing and kind and quick. Even though the place was packed we still only waited 30-35 minutes for a larger party of 6. If I’m ever in Atlantic City again, I will only eat here for breakfast!!! Thank you!!

Friendly Service. Hearty portions. Tasty thin pancakes. Cozy waterside outdoor dining. We enjoyed and are delighted we found this gem.

Pancakes were awesome. Showed up at 9:50, sat down immediately, breakfast arrived in no time. Food and service were great.

Best pancakes ever. Hugh breakfast, so much so that we share one meal. The Gilchrist at Garner's Basin has a beautiful deck on the water.

This is an old fashioned style family restaurant. Menu isn't large but food was good. Service was ok. Friendly for sure but slightly weeded so not as attentive as I would like. Everyone got some type of pancakes and egg combo. Pancakes were tasty and big. More thin and crisp than fluffy but good flavor. Their potatoes were Eh... As was the bacon and sausage. My rye toast was perfectly toasted and the butter was delish. My daughters white toast was seriously burned... As was pretty much all the white toast I saw come out of the kitchen. We'll know for next time. Coffee was good... Oh... This is important and something they don't say... Sodas are by the can. I'd go back.

Best breakfast along with the best view in atlantic city while you dine. The Cream Chip beef special on wednesdays and weekends is the best ive had since my days in the melrose dinner in Philadelphia who USED to be the best, Gilchrist is now the top. Also had an order of their blueberry pancakes as a dessert treat...they are crepe thin prepared to perfection dont need syrup in my opinion i just use butter so I could really taste the blueberries Delicious! Cant beat this place for a dining Al Freso Treat in the Summertime 👍👍👍👍👍
