Went for mother's day- I was surprised how fast the service was even though it was busy. Food was fantastic as well

I had a great breakfast here, sitting waterside, with boats passing by. A great attentive staff, delicious food cooked to order.

So glad we gave this place a try after the sleek and loud world of the casinos. Nestled along the waters edge, Gilchrist is a comfy, down-home restaurant with a maritime atmosphere. It had excellent service, very good breakfasts and the best coffee I ever had. I even drank it black! Happy that they served grits as a side option too. Omelets were nicely filled with cheese, etc. Blueberry pancakes were really good! Prices were average, regular size portions. I can’t wait to go back for the coffee again!

Nice spot. Great food. That crab, spinach and cheese omelette was on point. Service was fast. There was a small wait, but it was worth it.

Started going here in the early '90s, when I worked in A/C. Good food at a reasonable price. Not a tourist trap. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Open year round. They DO NOT get annoyed if you come in shortly before closing.

The staff is so friendly. Food is amazing and service is fast. This was our first time here and we will deff be coming back.

Nice location on the water. Nice staff, quick service, good food, coffee refilled upon request. Reasonable prices, great alternative to the fast-food places, ask about the off menu specials. My wife and I will definitely be returning.

Eat here a lot in the summer. Gorgeous view accompanied by a friendly staff and delicious food it truly is a must stop!!
