Virgin River Hotel and Casino

Emma and the front desk manager working on Sunday 4/23 were apathetic... and the manager was a smart aleck and rude.
We are not even checked in yet and it's already a horrible experience.
I've stayed here a number of times. The front desk is usually decent enough. I've never written a review of this hotel, but I'll tell you it's cheap, it's basically Motel 6 with a casino. What's good about it? It's cheap. If you can afford to stay at a better place, so so!! Absolutely.

So, I made a reservation, but checked in and paid on a different card. Even though the reception said they cancelled my reservation, they charged me for the room on BOTH cards, including an extra $5 on the reservation (taxes were included in the reservation and they won't tell me what the other $5 is for). The sewer smell in the room is really bad when showering, but the rest of the room is decent. Good price for such poor service and minimal provisions. Even with the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, they STILL tried to come in and clean my room 3 times. Do NOT trust your belongings in the rooms!

Bare bones rooms. Really inexpensive but you'll see why. Beds not comfortable at all and towels are as thin and basic as you can imagine. Prime rib dinner was good in the 24 restaurant. Good spot to stop off 15 and a few nice golf courses really close.

I rate this a 5 star, but remember it is a 1 star hotel. The rooms were simple but clean. Bed was good. They have a whole building that's pet friendly. I had my 100 lb dog with me and they were fine with him. Pool and hot tub was busy.

The room served it purpose for us, rest. It was dirty though. The beds were made but the bathroom and tub were dirty. We wanted to shower before heading out the following day, but did not dare with how dirty the tub was. Even with the room being inexpensive we were hoping for a clean room.

While the rooms are clean they are very dated. The comforter on the bed was so thin I don't think it's been replaced in many years. If you want to get some sleep bring your ear plugs because you can hear EVERYTHING in all the rooms around you. You will likely hear noises coming from other rooms you really don't want to hear. Liked that the casino had a bowling alley. Think I'll spend a little more next time and stay somewhere with thicker walls.

The service was par, nothing special at all but not bad. The tone weren't the cleanest, and are a little small. The pool was awesome and the kids loved it. And being so close to the freeway and everything around, the location was great.

Openly hostile to RV owners... I called to ask where to park my truck + travel trailer. I got three different answers. I followed directions and went to enjoy the buffet. I was paged by security and was treated with disrepect as I was ordered to move my rig again despite following instructions. I tried to be very compliant and apologetic, but was threatened with tickets and having my rig towed. Not a dime will be spent inside the Casio and Hotel. Their mothers should be ashamed of their poor manners. If you drive an RV or tow equipment, avoid this place even if you are tired and desperate. Dignity for paying guests and professional communication between staff members is non-negotiable.

Was very disappointed in the room. Pulled back the sheets and found food,paper and other garbage. Called and spoke to management (jamie) who was cordial but only was told it will be resolved. It is so different than in the days where they treated you as if they appreciated your business. They don't supply any of the amenities they used to but still charge exorbitant prices. Even charge extra for a fridge. The towels are so small they are pointless, the pillows are meant for a child. Reminded me of the oasis before it closed down. Service is sure not what it used to be. But prices keep going up. We always spend enough money here to feel we deserve better. But won't stay here again.

I was at their casino last night, won my money but the ticket wouldn’t print! Told the bartender and he agreed to get someone to come right away! (We were sitting at the bar) no one came! I mentioned it again to a different bartender and told him I had been waiting for over 15 minutes! Still, no one in sight that could help me and I could not get up and leave my machine! Finally after about 30 minutes and the guy next to me being insistent on the lack of customer service got loud with the bartender! Finally a Filipino lady showed up! Her reply to me was not, “so sorry you had to wait so long”. Or “sorry for the inconvenience,” it was “how do you know your ticket won’t print?” St$&$d B$&:$ - do you see a ticket that printed, and if it had would I sit here and wait for your rude a$$! I will never patronize this establishment ever! I don’t care if you can’t find staff to work, I am more than gracious to the service industry staff when they are kind to me!!!!! Just disgusting!!!! Virgin River Casino you should be ashamed!!!!!! Honestly, I think their motive was for me to leave so they didn’t have to pay me!!!!!!!!!
