Six Mile Cafe

So i was visiting from CT. And i wish we had this place our way!! Chicken strips are not your typical ones like you would get. They are home made a huge.. i could only eat one out of three. Plus mash potatoes n brown gravy which was scrumptious. All home made food. Diffently 5 stars. So if you are driving by and wondering how that place is. You must stop and try it out.

Very quaint little restaurant, just off of the highway. The service was great, and the food was amazing for the price we paid. They have an extensive pie/cake menu, and there are specials throughout the week. The Double cheese burger was more than enough. And their appetizers were amazing as well.

Was not impressed with with our wait and cook staff tonight. One of the cooks had long hair and half of it was braided back and the upper half was hanging down with no hair net. Our wait unwrapped my straw and sat it on the table twice and put my 5 yr Olds drink in a glass cup I had to ask for it to be put in a Styrofoam cup. My family as been going 6 mile for a long time and never been so disappointed. Our bill was over $100 for 6 people to chicken fried stake dinner 1/2 Crispy chicken salad 1/2 chef salad a BLT ( NO FRIES) a cheese burger with fries and a large order of onion rings and 3 teas and 3 sodas. When confronting the wait about it she said oh I know where it is its the fries.

Great food! Homemade taste! LARGE portions, small onion ring is more than enough for 3 of us (may differ on appetites for others). Husband loves the chicken fried steak! I enjoy the burgers - made quite thick. Big selection of pies. Super friendly service!

I got double order hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. OMG, half order would have done it, it was amazing. I got a glass of Pepsi, but my wife got a glass of lemonade, I had to have a glass of lemonade. It was great. Not to sweet at all. My wife had 3 glasses of it. She also got the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy and she wanted corn, but they were out and it was getting late, so they asked her if she wanted potato salad, which is what she was going to originally order and didn't, but she got it and it was awesome she said. The chicken fried steak was huge. She took some of it home to our son. If you leave this place hungry, something's is wrong. Fantastic service. We just found our new family restaurant.

Everything we ordered was delicious. The portions were as expected or larger. My pork tenderloin sandwich covered over half of a large oval plate. Prices are reasonable. I'd eat here multiple times every week if I lived closer.

Nice home cooked meal, all of the staff was great! We really enjoyd our visit! You must try the homemade onionrings, amazing! Thank you!!

I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was not that good, meat was very chewy. Boyfriend did like his hot beef sandwich. The service was lacking- I felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff by being there.

Edit: they returned my payment a day or so after this post. No response to this comment, but refunded my money spent on their food.

The location is well worth the drive to the sticks for some home cooked deliciousness. The service was very friendly, fast and courteous. Prices are reasonable with a great selection of various home-cooked dinners and sandwiches. We had the Reuben, Chicken Fried steak dinner, chicken tenders dinner and something else I can't remember right now. It was all delicious. They have a wide assortment of baked goods including fruit pies and other goodies. They serve alcohol as well for anyone needing to take the edge off. Go check them out!
