BAOtastic! If you like Bao buns then this is the place for you. The BAO located in downtown Clayton is serving up unique Bao bun options. There is also great vegetarian options like the Impossible burger. The staff is friendly and eager to talk you through the menu if you are unfamiliar with this type of food. Great twist on a classic Asian dish. This restaurant also has a great bar menu with a wide selection of beer, wine, and craft cocktails.

I saw an advertisement about their cocktails and how great they were. Too bad I didn’t get to try any- was told their bartender doesn’t come in any day of the week until 6:30. That sucks, and also don’t see anywhere that says they don’t do cocktails till that time. Place was EMPTY. I’ve been here a few times and this is the first time I was told that. Food was decent but not amazing. Probably won’t be back.

The interior decor is amazing, it has a nice relaxed and chill vibe. From what I saw, it didn’t look like there was a awful lot of seating, so if you plan to go, I would go with a smaller group. The food and drinks were delicious and came at decent price for the Clayton area. Great place! Fair warning, the door to this place is a tad heavy, you may have to push harder to open it!

Had my birthday dinner and while service did get a little better towards the end (birthday song, shot, beignets) I wish the service hadn’t been so lacking to begin with. They were moderately busy- but we were the only big top and we were mostly ignored but we watched every other table besides us get checked in on multiple times while we sat waiting for refills and to order another cocktail. 2/3 of our currys came out cold. Real bummer especially as a table of industry people who were looking to spend a BAG and spoil our server. Disappointing that I had this reservation for around a month and looked forward to dinner so much.

We had a reservation but were forgotten about for 40 minutes. Multiple walk ins were seated ahead of us. Then we were offered a spot at the bar and they allowed someone else to take it. So we chose to leave.

Made a reservation said it was not confirmed had us wait 40 minutes. Then told us it was going to be another hour before we could be seated but we could sit at the bar cleaned it off and brought other people to the bar. Honestly unacceptable.

This restaurant provides some unique Asian fusion food in St Louis. The restaurant is clean and decorated nicely. Staff are friendly and helpful. We really like our soft shell crab bao for $15 but we are not impressed with bluefin tuna poke for $15. The poke is bland and tasteless. The price is a little bit higher than average. If you like something different, then you shall try this restaurant.

Ordered on Uber eats app. The portions were super small considering how much I paid for. Also it supposed to come with free fries but I never get them.

Went last night (03/28/2019) and got the Korean Street Corn, Papaya Salad, Soft Shell Crab Bao (pictured), and a few things to share. I can recommend everything we had, and on top of it the ambience of the place and music selection was great and set an awesome mood.
