I have unfortunately have nothing good to say about this Caribou location. The last 3 times I've stopped here I've been disappointed by either the slow service or the sub par products served to me. Today I arrived with two sleeping kids in the car to find an "out of order" sign on the drive thru speaker saying "please come inside." Like most parents I wasn't willing to wake my kids for coffee. Why not take orders at the window like every other establishment that has a broken speaker? While this may seem trivial, the fact of the matter is, I've lost all hope for this location and feel that it's not focusing on the most important things to me, customer service and providing quality products.

20+ minute wait times happen frequently here. The employees cant ever get orders right. The drinks are ALWAYS different. Burnt, bitter or extremely sugary. Sometimes even a totally wrong drink. I complained to corporate to try to get this changed. But it hasn't in a year. Thanks to their consistent mess ups we bought a machine and make it all at home now.
Update 7 months later.. had to get coffee as we were out and had to hit the road. Been in line for 10 mins. 5 cars ahead of us still. They got the order wrong again. Had to give order 3 times.. quoted us an incorrect dollar amount... would leave this line if we could but there's no way out.
Just don't go here. Numerous complaints and 7 months later nothing has changed. Management obviously doesn't care..
When we got to the window the lady working gave us attitude about having to remake the drinks that the other person couldn't get right. No thank you or have a nice day.
Not to mention these drinks taste terrible!!

This is the absolute worst Caribou in the state of MN. Coffee is always cold or luke warm. I have seldom had a nice HOT cup of coffee there. I just grabbed a coffee before church. I got inside and sipped..luke warm! One time I went here and they said they were out of coffee. This is the worst coffee shop in the state. I hope it improves. I am pulling for it. When it does, I will change this rating.

They cater too much to the people that want fancy drinks. You can’t even get a dark roast coffee at 9:00 in the morning, as they only have one coffee brewing? This is a coffee shop! I have been a faithful Caribou drinker for years, but I am going to have to switch to shops that serve just one pot of light roast.

Never been here so I couldn't find the entrance to the drive thru, but the service and coffee were great 👍

Always good coffee but I'm rating this place low because it is ALWAYS slow. Slow at the drive through, even slower inside. They need more staffing but don't ever get it. No one seems to care the it takes 15-20 minutes to get your order on many days.

Not happy got the wrong, drink. This keeps happening at the Inver grove heights Caribou. The service is bad,, After finally getting the correct drink I ask for a receipt and was told by the cashier I don't know how to print one! You have to be kidding me. The only reason I go there is because it is the closest one to my house. Now I have to drive out of my way Just to get my drink made properly.

The people who work at this Caribou are unfailingly helpful and kind. Debra is an especially friendly, knowledgeable person who brightens my day anytime I come in, but every member of the team is great. As I live in Colorado, that isn't very often...but whenever I drive from Saint Paul to Rochester I make a point of stopping for breakfast here.

UPDATE: I avoided this store for over a year, but decided to give them another try this past summer, and have changed the star rating from 1 to 5. What a turn around! They obviously have a new management team, because they are retaining employees and training them to make the craft coffees correctly. I've been going twice a week since August, always order the same thing, and have only had 2 bad coffees (no flavor, tasted like steamed milk), which happens once in a while at any Caribou. A special shout out to Ben. He is now my favorite barista ever! He makes the perfect White Chocolate Mocha, consistently, time after time. I wish he would train all the new employees. Thanks for making this my go to Caribou store again.
This place is an absolute joke for a Caibou Coffee. It's only 1 mile from my house and I have been going here for over 10 years, but I will now drive 5 miles out of my way to go to the one on Upper 55th. At least they know how to make what's on their menu. The one on Cahill cannot keep employees or managers. I get it when it comes to training someone new, but for the past 4 months, they have all new employees every couple of weeks. They either screw up your order, charge you too much, give you the wrong coffee, fail to put whipped cream and toppings on the coffee which is standard on the type of coffee I order, or they are out of whipped cream and don't tell you that, they just hand you the coffee like it's no big deal. Well, I'm sorry if I expect my coffee to be made the way you advertise it on your menu. I complained to the manager two weeks ago. She was nice enough, said yes they're having a huge problem keeping employees at that store, said the previous manager stole the whipped topping dispenser and that's why they haven't had whipped cream, and gave me two free coffees. Well, same issues this weekend. New employees, they did not put whipped cream or sprinkles on top. When I asked for it, she put whipped cream on. When I asked for the white chocolate sprinkles, she actually argued with me about it! Said she put the sprinkles in the coffee. I told her that yes, the coffee is made with white chocolate chips, but if you look at the picture on your menu you'll see that sprinkles also go on top of the whipped cream. Ok, ok, was her response. My husband went today, and guess what? They are out of whipped cream! I had told the manager that when they don't have whipped cream, the employees should tell the customer that they are out when placing the order, or, put up a sign at your drive through speaker. Did they tell my husband they were out of whipped cream? Of course not! They just handed him the coffee. I mean come on! That's like McDonald's running out of ketchup! I am so done with this Caribou store! Save yourself some frustration, avoid this one and go to one that knows what they're doing. The store on Cahill in Inver Grove Heights gives Caribou a bad name. It truly wouldn't bother me if they shut this store down!

I have been here twice, the first time I went inside and 6 people went to the drive-thru before my latte was made. Today we went with our vegetarian daughter. We ordered a blueberry muffin and was given an egg bacon sandwich. When I walked back in to get it exchanged, since we had gone through the drive-thru we were not given an apology and then they bagged up a cinnamon muffin. Two stars is generous
