Gator's Grilled Cheese Emporium

Fabulous lunch had by all of us from age 11 to 62. The grilled cheese were excellent, as were the soups and mac & cheese. Servers were fun too. We all look forward to returning some day!!

Absolutely make a point to stop here. Both the Turkey Bacon Avocado Club Melt and the Bacon Mac and Cheese sandwiches were exceptional! It's tough to truly stand out in this niche. Gator's definitely does.

The young lady taking orders at the counter was so friendly and nice! The cook served us our food and she was fantastic!! Both the young lady and the cook came to check on us. Great food! Great service! We will be back!!! Great job ladies!!! Keep up the fantastic customer service!

Super breakfast spot in Ely. Loved the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. Coffee is super strong for my test , but everything else was excellent.

Brought out water and treats for the dog. Tried the Mac and cheese sandwich it was actually awesome and I'm 50, a young adult/teen would love it more. The wild rice and Turkey soap was also good. Great family run small town restaurant!

My wife & I stopped in for a light lunch Sunday and we both enjoyed our visit. Reasonably priced we waited just a few minutes when our lunch was served. Try the macaroni & cheese sandwich. Delicious!

Went for breakfast and the manager (redhead) was super nice and also did the cooking when we were there. Food was quick and my pancakes were awesome. Would definitely eat there again. Thank you! UPDATE: Sorry - perhaps she wasn't a redhead, but thought she was (fairly attractive and slender manager), and you're right, it was the French toast. You've got the lovely overhead train track, right?

Absolutely phenomenal! The mac n cheese had fantastic flavor! My wife had the Garden Sandwich and Tomato Basil soup and I had the Rachel Sandwich with mac n cheese. Everything tasted fresh, homemade and cooked to perfection! Our server was very kind. She brought a cup of hot water to our table after our 1 yr old son tossed his pacifier on the floor. We didn't even ask her! She just brought it. Lovely, quaint little cafe. If we hadn't driven 3 hours to get there in the first place, we would definitely go again in a heartbeat!

Very good food. Everything tastes very fresh. We had a pizza (homemade) and the toppings were heaped on top. Our kid had a grilled PB&J and got to keep the frisbee it was served on. I also had a 1/2 dinner salad and we joked that if that was only a 1/2 salad, imagine the size of the full!
