Great food and service. Had plenty of GF options as well. Highly recommend!

Gator's is a must stop when in Ely. The menu is full of delicious breakfast and lunch items with cheese featured prominently!
We eat here every year when we visit the Boundary Waters and are always well served by Erin and Vera.
Enjoy the decor, including a working model train!

clean, quiet restaurant.. perfect lunch stop for our young family (three kids ages 1-6). Simple menu options but high quality ingredients makes for easy ordering yet a delicious meal. Excellent service and short wait times.

Great mac and cheese grilled cheese! We asked them to split the order and they gave us two sides of chips! Staff was very nice and they had a great outdoor patio!

Very average. They don't really do anything special with the grilled cheese sandwiches. I wish you could customize it with special cheeses but it's not really an option. If you have kids this is probably great if not there are other options in Ely.

We love this place when we visit Ely. Unusual grilled cheese creations and great food. We did like it better ordering non-pressured from our table vs. upon entry. But the food is so good and worth stopping in.

My Ruben was good, but my wife had the seasoned chicken sandwich and it want very seasoned.... We also thought it was going to be a grilled cheese due to the name of the place but it was just a sandwich

Fun little restaurant, lots of great salad options if you're trying to eat a little healthy. They also have sandwiches if you'd rather go that route. Very friendly service.

Unbelievably good food. Bacon mac and cheese on buttered sourdough. I wept a little. And finished every crumb.

I had the garden grilled cheese, highly recommend. Try the root beer. Dog friendly on the deck
