Gator's Grilled Cheese Emporium

Great food! Great service! We had a dinner salad that was huge and amazing. Then we split the Philly. It was 1 of the best meals on our trip.

A great yummy spot for lunch, especially if you are going to the Northern Tier High Adventure base or any other BWCA trip. The food comes plenty and there is even a small miniature train going above on the ceiling if you ask about it. Definitely would recommend.

Wow. Slam dunk. To get a five star review at a place with grilled cheese in the name you better come at me with a serious sandwich, and they did. Much more than humble grilled cheese available, with options for everyone ranging from salads to a French dip. Excellent selection of board games, pleasant staff and atmosphere, dog friendly...I got a t-shirt.

First off, if you want a grilled cheese, order the basic and add things. The other sandwiches aren't grilled cheese. For example, the pulled chicken was lb a soggy hot dog bun and has literally no flavour for the chicken. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had ordered a grilled cheese with bacon, but honestly I don't feel like giving them another try. Also the service was pretty sub par, rounding off a disappointing experience.

The worst experience my family and I have had at any restaurant. They wouldn’t serve my family although we walked in 20 minutes before closing and told us it would be rude of them to keep their staff past closing. After saying that, my family left and watched a couple walk in and be seated right after us. This type of service is not great for any businesses. A very rude experience and no one should accommodate them.

Great food! I hope circumstances improve so they are open more hours and days!

Just had the most delicious French toast I've ever had. Fantastic food, good prices, kid friendly and great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back for dinner!

Took the two kids here while mom hit the Ely urgent care (like you do up north ;) and it was a big hit. Can't go wrong with corn dogs for the littles, and the havarti grilled cheese on wild rice bread was excellent. Castle Danger beer to wash it down and you've got a perfect lunch.

Bonus star: the wait staff heard my 3yo son notice the train tracks going around the ceiling (I hadn't noticed) and unprompted fired up the train for him! Very, very cool.

Uhh huuh ! Ohhh yummy !! This charming little restaurant has luscious biscuits with sausage gravy, an amazingly huge and delicious cresent roll brkfst sandwich..almost too large and goodie stuffed for my husband to eat. A warm fireplace and a toy train chugging around the entire room on woodentracks hanging from the ceiling They serve breakfast and lunch and I sure wished each day had more brkfsts included so I could order more sausage gravy on those biscuits!

Really good food with fun variety- very nice staff. The kids meals came on a frisbee and there’s a neat train running on a track around the restaurant. This will be a regular stop for my family
