Because of the great reviews we waited over an hour to get a seat. Very disappointed as the food wasn’t that great. The toast was not toasted and the OJ was watered down. The hostess/cashier was so rude when I asked where we were on the list. We should have left after that be she said we were next after being very nasty. How convenient as they were seating people who got there after us. Just not worth it!!

It was a lovely breakfast.
It's an old breakfast-brunch diner with delicious meal options.
We came here on a Sunday morning during the long weekend. The wait was long and the service was a little slow considering they were overwhelmed with people to serve. Nonetheless, it was a great experience!

A definite spot to hit while in Saint Ignace . True home cooked meals and the service is friendly and prompt. Prices are good and portions are perfect. We never leave town without stopping at Java joes.

Went for breakfast. Were greeted immediately by the very outgoing and friendly owners. Even though I was not a Packers fan, they forgave me and allowed me to be seated in their cozy establishment! Large selection of breakfast items. Coffee was great. Food even better. Served by spunky waitstaff. Fun decor all around.

This place is well worth the wait! We went there on a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed! They have weird menu items that set them apart from other restaurants in the area. I won't be stopping for breakfast in Mackinaw City anymore on my way to The Soo.

Also, I love the hippie vibes!

Best corned beef hash I've ever had. Joe is amazing and knowledgeable about the area. A must stop for those wanting to hike and see local sights.

Nice quaint Cafe with a huge menu! Love how the cafe appears to be sectioned-off nicely to allow for more room when it gets busy. Love the tea pot collection. The food was very good. Definitely think it was a reasonable stop and not overpriced considering the popularity of it. These people still provide value and service. Java Joe was very personable and greeted us. Our coffee was topped off regularly when we wanted for nothing. We didn't have a terribly long wait but I think that we got there before the rush. We had the traditional breakfast, as well as the biscuits and gravy and the coconut French toast which I would highly recommend! Next time, I'm definitely getting those Reese's pieces pancakes! They said they pared-down the menu,i still is quite large and I can't imagine someone not finding something they like. Really liked looking at their coffee cup collection for sale on the way out. Found a couple of really funny ones that made my day!
A great way to kick off your UP adventure! Follow me on Instagram withlovefrommiche for more Michigan adventures and suggestions!

Such a cute place to stop for breakfast. Menu can be a little overwhelming but found what we wanted. Food is delicious and super rich! Tons of butter but very filling. Bathroom clean and I love the color scheme of the whole place. The eggs Benedict and lobster omelet were amazing.
