This place is great! Service is fantastic, homemade pie is wonderful

I have never tried whitefish before and found that like pretty much all fish, I don't care for whitefish either. But that's a personal thing and doesn't take away from the soda fountain feel of this little diner. The fish WAS incredibly fresh and cooked beautifully, served with house cut fries (my choice over the standard house made chips) and our server was quick and pleasant.

Our first visit to this city and we would not recommend this restaurant.
Upon entering we realized they were not following limited seating guidelines. One waitress had her mask on appropriately, one half way on her face, and one guy not wearing one at all. They asked if we wanted breakfast or lunch and then seemed put off because we said breakfast. Our waitress was very rude to us but kind to others. Our food portions were small and the price was not in line with the cost. When time came to pay I was given the option to swipe my card on a device directly in front of the rude waitress while she stood watching and felt pressured into giving a tip that I felt was not appropriate for the rude service we received. My family would not recommend this restaurant.

Nothing but great things to say about the food and service. The food came out faster than expected. Our server was super helpful and let us know about the story of the restaurant. There was not a bad dish ordered for the family. Heard great reviews about the homemade pies that we had to try one. Got a slice of the cherry pie and it didn't disappoint. There's also ice cream available for anyone with little kids that prefer that for dessert. The restaurant was rockin an old school 50s look with a jukebox that was unfortunately out of order. It'd be sweet to have swing music playing in the background to add to the ambiance.

Two pasties to go. Charged $1.75 extra for take out fee because they said takeout is majority of their business - gouging! Ordered beef and chicken at $20+ because you of their gouging. Beef was so-so but ate it. Chicken was horrible and we thought it was vegetable. Took back and asked for a replacement and rude lady said NO - it’s chicken. And would not do anything to make the customer happy. Great customer service - NOT! Don’t waste your time here.

While traveling from out of town, this spot was such a cute and worthwhile stop! Conveniently located in town next to plenty of shops and a scenic view of the lake, this historic eatery was a great find. We had the bison burger & very much enjoyed our time! Modest prices and delicious food served by friendly folks!

Good breakfast food, interior could use some patching/updating, but the waitress was nice and service was prompt

We did not actually eat there because we were basically asked to leave. The manager told us our table was saved for someone after we came in and sat (it was seat yourself). She was rude about it too! There were no other tables and no one waiting for a table so who was it saved for. The table being saved wasn't so bad but her attitude was terrible. We will not go back.

Classical diner atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff. My spouse ordered the cod special, and I tried my first pasty here. The food was phenomenal--and surprisingly so--because the price was so affordable. The ABC Pie (apple, blueberry, and cherry) was great and so was the ice cream. A wonderful place to go if you want an affordable, delicious meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Sadly I won't be returning due to rude staff... When we asked when our carryout order would be ready, the waitress told us she didn't know and couldn't check every order. I understand it's a busy morning, but the attitude and tone we received over asking for ETA on food was unwarranted. And sadly that's what we are going to think of every time we come through this town, and how we definitely won't be coming here. Food was meh, as well. Enter at your own risk.
