Lantern Coffee Bar and Lounge

Update: The owner reached out immediately and apologized for the experience we had. He stated it was a due to a new barista and a training issue. He promised to correct the problem and offered to send us a gift card. Amazing customer service and coffee.

[I ordered a breve latte as I always do. The barista stated, “We cannot do a hot breve. We can do a cold drink with half & half or we can do a hot drink with whole milk. Breve like breaks the wand.”]

Amazing coffee, relaxed vibe, and excellent bakery selections make this a perfect place to start the day, study, or simply chill with a friend or partner.

I got a Smore'tado it was really good! The espresso has a sorta fruity and dark taste to it which makes it delicious. The marshmallows and Graham cracker were a nice touch. It has a nice sitting area where you can hang out and study or do work for awhile. Overall very nice.

Beautiful, quiet atmosphere. Classical music, friendly baristas, a little pricey, but fantastic coffee, well worth it.

Perfect for studying, working or just enjoying a slice of peace and quiet.

The good folx at Lantern Coffee were on location at GLC Live at 20 Monroe to provide a much appreciated pick-me-up for the stage crew and performers. Thanks for the coffee y'all!

Great place for sharing a cup of coffee and have a bite. I would definitely come back. Employees are very kind and attentive.

It's a very small place with a below ground seating area. It feels like a place away from the city or an escape. Charming and cozy. I'd definitely come back again.
