Cute Ethiopian cafe. Though it's not labeled as as Ethiopian it has the flair and products of one. They roast their beans right there and they are darn good at it too. The lattes are amazing, so says my sister and mom. The empanadas are tasty. Nice and crispy with great flavor inside. The simba hot tea is basically just hot black tea. Kinda like an english breakfast but a bit more woodsy. There are plugs ins and free wifi located on the cards on the tables.

Wow! It's been so long since we've had real coffee! Not sugared or watered down, and just the perfect brew. It is a little pricy, but for the occasion, we didn't mind paying!

One of the best coffees I’ve had in a while. The cold brew had a bite to it - so much richer than most places. Wish I lived closer!

I wanted to support a Black-owned or minority-owned business this morning. However, the service was less than I could accept. It's important that all customers can receive pleasant service- simple "good mornings," "how can I help you?," etc., since we are visiting the establishment to support it.

Friendly staff, delicious coffee and bakery. Especially the almond croissant. Starbucks stopped selling them so I found this place. One suggestion keep simple syrup, I hate having to put in the sugar and then mix.

Great coffee and atmosphere. Wonderful owners. I had their veggie empanada and the filling was substantial. My verizon connectivity was very bad. But I'm going to try again on another day.

This is my second trip here. I absolutely love it here. I can research, study, make calls, and think. The coffee is amazingly on point. I start with an Almond Milk Latte or Capp and then get a reg drip. Ethiopian coffee is so so good. Will def return. Great job for a coffee shop in the burbs! The design of the place is on point!

One of the better coffee places in the area. Very fresh, great espresso and lattes, and customer service. Their pasties are good (I like their croissants) however it is limited, and often sold out. If they can expand the pastry selection just a little bit, then Black Lion Coffee easily becomes the best cafe in Montgomery County.

I’m changing this to five stars. The pastry selection is still small, but the quality is very good and this is a small, independent shop and absolutely deserve 5 stars!

Great coffee. Cozy chic atmosphere for a cafe. They make their coffee with Ethiopian coffee.
