Since I moved to Maine I have been in search of new restaurants and experiences, Primo restaurant was always on my list, being 3 hours away I decided to create a small trip and enjoy the area, I made my reservation with little time in advance for what happened to me at 9pm, the day of the reservation I arrived early and to my surprise they had an area that you can enjoy outside which they call 0 km, they were offering oysters for one dollar.for my surprise they was having a table ready and we proceeded to our dinner, we started with some drinks requests that the bartender made perfect, and then we placed our order, chef sent a delicious lobster bisque as an amuse-bouche, followed by the chef's board and a grilled octopus, to finish I ordered the branzino and she the duck, everything was magical! accompanied with red wine. I left in love with Primo and Rockport!
Thanks for everything, coming back for more soon!!!

Every bite of every dish was wonderfully flavored and we enjoyed it so much. The Oysters Rockefeller were delicious, the Foie Gras was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, and the duck was cooked perfectly. DESSERT was the best ending- warm chocolate pudding cake with butter Pecan Gelato. Pics were only remembered after a bite or two- sorry not sorry! From the minute we walked in the door, the staff at Primo were so welcoming, professional, & attentive. Top notch, always!

Great band, fun atmosphere, and a prime example of farm to table dining. The wait can be a bit long and the pricing is high. My Bee's Squeeze cocktail was weak for the price and they served it in different sizes each time so the consistency was strange. The food was phenomenal especially the clam dip. Expect a reasonable wait on oysters on $1 oyster night.

Last week we brought a party of 10 (5 couples), only one had ever been to Primo before which always makes us nervous about recommending a restaurant but Primo was as good, maybe better than ever!
We had a great table upstairs that fit the 10 of us perfectly. Everything from the Apple cider & crème fresh amuse to the cinnamon and sugar “donuts” (and every bite in between) were fantastic!
Everyone loved Primo and I know we won’t hesitate recommending it again!!
PS. The foie gras app and the duck main were my personal favs of the night but the other guys still were talking about the pork chop special the next day!

Everything was perfect. The staff let us walk the farm before they opened, they accommodated our request to be seated outdoors, and the food and drinks were top notch. Our server was very kind, and made sure our evening had a great pace.

Comfortable. Of course the food is amazing, the natural setting is beautiful, the old home setting is lovely, the service is knowledgeable and friendly. But if you put it all together in one word, it is just comfortable to be here….

Amazing culinary & farm to table experience. Incredible chef, kitchen and service team. Menu changes regularly due to local product availability. Do not go in expecting the same old dishes everyone else serves. Creativity and care is demonstrated in every dish. Make reservations.

An okay dinner that was pricey. We had a good appetizer of squash blossoms but the hour wait for dinner brought a sub par piece of tuna and 4 ravioli for $35. I left hungry and angry that no one calls this establishment on their lack of vegetarian and vegan options. Even salads do not have protein added. A disappointment .

Primo is amazing. The food is always mind-blowingly delicious and elegantly prepared with great service and atmosphere. Unlike other world-class restaurants, the vibe is cozy and casual, not pretentious at all. A couple of the best meals of my life were had here, and it's really not much more expensive than your average nice restaurant in the area, especially since the portions are solid. Can't recommend highly enough!

Sadly, no vegan options. Our server told us the kitchen team made no effort to create a dish, it was "create-your-own" kinda of a night and no dessert option. They have the platform to showcase sustainable plant based meals with plant proteins and yet no desire to make that positive change. That was not the only OOPS of the evening, and the final result was room temp entrees as we waited for them to re-fired and correct the birthday girl 's wrong pasta dish. This was an expensive evening due to the drive down from Bar Harbor with two hotel rooms for an
overnight stay.
