I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese and wifey had the house burger. We shared and both were excellent and provided plenty of food. The bar staff was very busy but also attentive and happy and kept the drinks flowing as requested. Cool place — recommended!

Visited every night we were in Bar Harbor for the nightly live music and best gin, soda n lime served in a large mason jar. Great food and service! Go to the Annex one not their family restaurant next door if you want a bar atmosphere. Dance floor as well! I wish the bartender we had could be cloned and at every bar!

Ok, first of all, the food and service was good. Reason for 4 star rating...the lobster roll I really wanted, was pitiful. It was made with mayo, which usually you're given a choice of mayo or melted butter. Ok, not too bad. The problem that I had with it was it was very skimpy. It came out on the roll, with a piece of lettuce laying in it and the skimpy layer of mostly chopped up lobster on top. All for $28 ! Ok, so all the restaurants we found, about 4, had the same price, But, when I used to get them, anywhere, they were completely filled up, I mean bulging out of the roll with Big chunks of meat! Maybe this is the new norm, I don't have anywhere to compare with. But for the money you pay, if they're going to double the prices, then they should still give you the normal amount of product that they used to give you! Not double the price and cut it in at least half, actually I would say, more than half. Picture doesn't prove what I said, but it just wasn't even pushed down in the roll.

So so good! We had no wait and was able to sit outside (our request). We ordered the crab dip, clam chowder and Mac and cheese. Everything was so good and I am still raving about the crab dip days later! I prefer a thicker clam chowder, however it was still good. If we go back to Bar Harbor we will definitely be back.

I enjoyed their lobster roll and my family seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. The place isn't on the main street like so many other restaurants, but it was a nice change of pace. Easy to walk to in a quiet area.

We had crab dip for appetizer, the pita bread was so buttery and soft, perfect with it. The burger has avocado, chipotle mayo and bacon on was very delicious. Lobster roll was a 10 as well. Clam chowder came with the lobster, it was ok.I had a salad on side, it was fresh and delicious. Gotta have the blueberry ale in town.

Wonderful. Come here super hungry or you will wish that you could eat more, portion sizes are lofty. Everything was wonderful except for the lobster Mac. I would pass on it.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food, and a great restaurant! We tried this locally owned business twice during our 6-day stay in Bar Harbor, ME. We would highly recommend you add this to your itinerary if you are planning a trip off the coast of Maine in or near Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park!

Our first Maine lobster roll, and it was delicious! The bun was stuffed to overflowing with cold juicy chunks of lobster with a light lemon aioli. The clan chowder was creamy and full of clams and other goodies. The fries were hot, fresh and well seasoned. The blueberry pie was the best I've had.
This feast was not inexpensive, but not too out of line at $43 (add another $8 for the pie).
Service was very good.
Plenty of paid parking across the street.

So happy to make it to dinner here on opening day. Side Street is a must-do dinner for us when visiting MDI. Great and personable bartender with thoughtful suggestions. Happy hour options were on point. Enjoyed the corn dogs, shrimp and truffle mac and cheese bites. Loved the halibut sandwich and the guys enjoyed their burgers and mac and cheese with bacon (of course). The spiced pear margarita was delicious but my fave was a jalapeño blueberry (bc jalapeño makes any marg better!). Thanks SSC!
