Great little stop in Bar Harbor! We split a pitcher of margaritas for two, a roasted veggie salad, haddock Reuben, and the build your own Mac with onions and red peppers (post-hiking meal!!) The pitcher was a bit small but we got around 2 small margaritas each. The salad came out first and was absolutely delicious. The Reuben had a wonderful piece of haddock on it. The fries we upgraded for and the Mac n cheese were both extremely under-seasoned. We added our own salt, but would have preferred a bit more seasoning when served. Only reason for the 4 and not 5 stars. Our waitress was super friendly and the online reservation system was great. All over a great spot for dinner. Oh

Really great food! We loved everything. My burger was a touch overcooked ( wanted it to be medium rare, but it was more medium well but it was still really tasty!) Clam chowder was really rich, and had some good amount of seafood in there! The crab dip was SO GOOD! It was more than enough for the 4 of us. Really rich and would absolutely get it again. We also had the grilled haddock, the haddock reuben, the full rack and mac, and the Our servers were lovely and attentive and everything came out quickly! Portions were big, and we had enough even for dinner that night. The mac and cheese and ribs were amazing. it's like a mountain! Perfect for sharing in my opinion if you do the full rack especially. I loved that they had ways to customize your meal with sides and loads of variety on the menu. I'd love to stop by again! If you're in the area I would recommend you stop in!

First timer looking to try the clam chowder that was stated to be the best in Bar Harbor. Fast and friendly service. Clean location. Kid friendly beyond the norm. They gave out little packets of colored clay for the kids to create with and then can be left on display in the cafe. The clam chowder was excellent. They were out of oyster crackers so they gave us fresh, hot baked bread instead. Lightly covered with butter, the bread was very tasty! Kids had the Mac & Cheese and it was very good. The blueberry beer was good and the addition of a handful of wild maine blueberry's in the glass was great. Tried the blueberry pie and it was excellent. Had it "warm" without a scoop of ice cream and regret not adding a scoop of vanilla. My wife had a margarita with sugar instead of salt and she LOVED it. If you are in bar Harbor give this place a try.

We were looking for a good late lunch after a day of adventuring at Acadia, and we really enjoyed our time at Side Street Cafe in Bar Harbor.
We were able to be seated outside right away around 3:30pm. Lucky for us it was the start of happy hour for 2 hours. We had arguably the best and uniquely flavored margaritas for a reasonable price - wild blueberry for me and an apple cinnamon for my husband. At $8 per margarita we thought that was a good happy hour deal.
We shared 2 entrees - a lobster roll and a haddock Reuben. Both were delicious. The cafe boasts one of the biggest lobster rolls in the area, and after several across the area, we thought that was fair. The haddock Reuben was delicious - large and with a good amount of each of the toppings. And finally the house made chips were delicious.
The staff was friendly and attentive and you never had to worry about waiting to ask them a question. We would definitely come back!

Best seafood in Maine, I loved the crab dip it has so much flavor. I ordered lobster roll such tender meat. Bun perfect nice crunch with soft buttered bun. It also comes with cup of clam chowder. Actually has clams in it with great flavor. This place is so good. Last year when I came to visit I ordered the seafood pasta absolutely amazing and so much seafood in it. It's a big portion hope your Hungary or get a to go box. I loved this place so much I walked in the rain to get there. After I left it was pouring rain so hard. They have a taxt service set up new. I met the owner and was so amazing and nice. Offered this service to his customers. So helpful and would highly recommend this place to anyone that visits Maine and goes to Bar Harbor. Thank you so much u guys u did amazing job!!!

Really wanted to enjoy this place but was left a little disappointed. The burgers were of great portion but I wanted it cooked medium rare, instead I was bought an almost well done dry burger. I would have enjoyed it much more if it was cooked to my liking. The clam chowder was great so be sure to try that if you ever visit.
The staff were friendly and they have a great outdoor seating area. Worth stopping by if you are in bar harbor!

Had a great dinner at Side Street Cafe/ The Annex. According to our bartender/server, the same menu but different drinks. So technically we sat on the Annex side but it doesn't really change much. The margarita I had was well balanced and delicious, the food was flavorful and fresh and each member of the party ate every last bite of their respective meals. Special shout-out to the desserts which were on point!! We were able to enjoy a table outside but still under cover and the staff was very kind. The only struggle from our eyes is that our server who was also bartending wasn't able to be as attentive for speed of service and that's not her fault, she was wonderful! But the bar was busy and it was dinner rush. That is something you may need to consider. Enjoy!!

My favorite food in Bar Harbor. Great seat in spot for lunch as several restaurants open just for dinner. Place is trendy and our server was very nice and informative. Buffalo chicken Mac was incredible. Get the full size since it’s double the food for $4 more; I will eat this all week! Our server was multitasking a lot but still checked on us. We will return.

Great vibe, mixed reviews on the food. Burger was good (toasted bun would have made it great), fries, giant pretzel tasty (really loved the maple mustard), BALT sandwich and Mac and Cheese delicious. Fish tacos, beans and rice obvious it was not made fresh and tasted like it. Service was excellent and overall a good place.

Great place to have lunch or dinner in Bar Harbor, especially considering the other options around. Nice atmosphere though a bit noisy. We’ve had the nachos which were nice, chicken burrito and the salmon salad, all was fresh. Staff was just OK. Pretty expensive
