Loved, loved, loved, loved this place! Really cool hip locally owned coffee shop serving great coffee shops and food. The field was really nice and the people are super friendly. Can't wait to go back for a visit and enjoy more of the goodness.

I'm not super into paleo or organic food, and i don't consider myself super trendy either, but i love good food! My boyfriend is a big latte diva and refuses to get one from anywhere other than Magpie! We try to make lunch dates there as often as possible. The food NEVER disappoints! I had a bacon and brie panini the other day, and i've been trying to recreate that at home since. Food is great, nice atmosphere, and can't deny that the coffee is amazing.

Favorite coffee shop in BTR. Great coffee, most of the food is top-notch and all made in-house (try the vegan chocolate chip cookie, srsly), but it's waaay too expensive to go to frequently. Over $10 before tip for a panini sandwich as one recent example.

Cool little place, very busy to be off the beaten path. Not being from the area I wasn't to sure what university it's near but there was tons of student traffic and a consistent line at the counter.
They serve local, organic sandwiches, salads. Juices, coffee, tea and cookies just to name a few. They offer different daily breakfast and lunch specials that appear to consist of a soup, salad and sandwich..all of which are made with fresh, local ingredients.
Magpie offers both indoor and outdoor seating as well as free wifi. Their pumpkin latte was the best i've had..puts Starbucks and dunkin donuts to shame. The white bean salad and chicken pannini were tasty as well. Must try the hibiscus iced tea (cold)..yummy.
All I can say is those ladies were working hard but still had smiles on their faces..I love that. Stop in, say hello and grab a coffee!

The waffle Eggs Benedict and Sausage Egg and Cheese biscuit are absolutely delicious!!! The coffee and almond milk cappacino are quite amazing also! Great atmosphere and service!!!

I've been here more often than I'd like to admit and the coffee has consistently been great. I'm also a fan of the Vegan Chocolate Chunk Cookie!

Best espresso in town that I've had. Latte e Miele is a close second. Served properly in demi-tasse (tiny cup) with a saucer, like L.eM. Full of flavor, great tartness/acidity. Can't help but smile upon my first sip. Haven't tried anything else there, but considering their respect for espresso done right, I bet they're excellent with other things as well. WISH IT WAS OPEN AT 6!

Overall great cafe. I gave them 4/5 mostly because of price. It was $10 for a very small (albeit delicious) breakfast sandwich and a drip coffee. Very cool, comfy atmosphere and good coffee.

They know coffee! Best I’ve had in Baton Rouge. Almost as good as DoubleShot Tulsa.

Please bring back dancing goat or a facsimile. I was a walking ad for yall when that was your house espresso. It tasted italian, the real deal. Good tart pucker at the finish (something I look for in a good espresso).
Today, however, I tried your house blend espresso, the first sip was exciting, but I couldn't finish it. It had tart and sweetness from beginning to finish. After 3 sips I felt like i was drinking spaghetti sauce. Had to return it, for a french press (tasted like the same bean blend :-[. )
