Really great coffee- I've enjoyed all the different drinks I've gotten there. They usually have a good variety of pastries too. Very homey vibe and has outdoor seating.

Love this cafe. Always great and friendly service when I go, even when it's busy. They make amazing lattes that keep me coming back for more! I prefer the food at the downtown location more, but this location still has some yummy food. Get the vanilla latte or the matcha latte if you're stopping for a simple coffee break.

Great food, I was impressed with the breakfast brioche, however the coffee was not the best. I had an oat milk latte which was decent and another whole milk latte which was pretty poor tasting unfortunately, not sure if this was just a one time mistake.
Anyway I highly recommend this place, I will go there every time I'll pass through Baton Rouge.

They probably have the best chai latte in Baton Rouge. Open and yet homey feeling coffee joint. Definitely a bit hipster but hey it's a coffee joint. The food is a bit pricey but typically delicious. The real star here is the outdoor patio area- provided it isn't incredibly hot outside and there's an actual seat available. In the fall and spring it's absolutely wonderful. I wouldn't say it's a great study space for college kids looking for a respite from Highland Coffee, but it's great for catching up with a friend.

Magpie's includes a wide variety of options for people who are vegan, vegetarian, paleo, etc. My friend ordered a decaf latte, and I the beet latte because I wanted something healthy. Both were excellent and extremely creamy. I was very surprised by the smoothness of my drink considering all that went into it. There was a bit of a wait for our drinks, which did not bother me, but keep that in mind if you are in a rush. While we waited, I walked over to the corner of the cafe where many organic, natural, and locally made things are sold, including nut butters, soaps, essential oils, and more

Wow. Just wow. I was incredibly surprised by this little cafe. Judging by the location, I did not think it would be anything special, but boy was I wrong.

There is a very adorable outdoor seating area. It is not very big but definitely gets the job done. There are also multiple seating areas on the inside of the cafe. This would be a great place for schooling or working, as it is quiet for the most part.

Magpie's includes a wide variety of options for people who are vegan, vegetarian, paleo, etc. My dad ordered a decaf latte, and I the beet latte because I wanted something healthy. While we waited, I walked over to the corner of the cafe where many organic, natural, and locally made things are sold, including nut butters, soaps, essential oils, and more. There is also a wide range of various healthy products sold throughout the store like raw chocolates, mushroom teas, and immunity boosts. I loved the whole earthy vibe of this place, and love how they have many options for health conscious people.

I unfortunately have not tried any of the actual food from magpies, but if it measure up the quality of their coffee, I am sure it is excellent. Overall, I completely recommend Magpie Café!

Hands down my favorite coffee spot I've been to in ANY city. The coffee makes you feel like you aren't in Baton Rouge because it's amazing but the service is as friendly as you'd expect from the south. Really can't say enough about this place. Everything I've tried is good But if you like iced drinks try the Roosevelt and thank me later.

Cute little coffee shop. Best one we have found in Baton Rouge so far. The cappuccino was very good and so was the coffee. They use intelligentsia coffee beans, so no will get a good cup of coffee. We also ate two sandwiches and a chocolate cake. Very good.

A larger and more varied lunch selection would be a great improvement; they often sell out of their limited menu items, especially the vegetarian ones. Decent tea. Nice atmosphere. Small outdoor seating area is comfortable in fair weather despite being right by the road due to plantings.

My favorite coffee shop in Baton Rouge. If you're a coffee fan definitely try The Roosevelt. It's strong, delicious, and very aromatic. If you're more of a latte person, the honey vanilla latte is one not to miss. They have a selection of teas too but none are organic, though I'm hoping they'll change that soon. Magpie is in a cute little old house with a quaint little garden in the front with tables that are perfect for sipping cappuccinos with a friend on a Saturday morning or desks inside that double as a bright and cheery second office on a Tuesday afternoon. If you're a local and haven't been here yet, you're missing out.
