Only great coffee shop in baton rouge if you like good coffee. Also, easily the best espresso I've ever had. Newer knew espresso could taste this good

Drinks are great and food is always đź’Ł you'd be hard pressed to find a better baconeggandcheese in baton rouge (as a New York transplant, Been on the hunt for this breakfast staple and I finally found it, folks)

One of the many local coffeeshops in Baton Rouge. It's among one of my favorites along with Highlands Coffee. Finding a parking spot can be challenging but it is worth it. My go-to's include the latte and cortado. If you are also feeling hungry, they also serve food too. The interior is cozy/rustic and is a popular spot for photos (re: shiplap colored wall).

I am thankful for this sweet place that offers alternative beverages like golden milk and matcha! Sweet staff and their vegan options are just right for my taste buds; I can't do sugary stuff! The food tastes real and not over processed! I can tell they care about quality and people's health!🥰

Went to Magpie Perkins today to get a non-dairy matcha.
When I asked what non-dairy milks they had, I was told they “had them all.” I blinked back at the register, what exactly does that mean?
I slowly said, “almond? coconut? soy?” She said, “yea.”
Then, after waiting 15 minutes, I was brought back a poorly steamed, and messy coconut milk matcha with the drink sloshed carelessly down the sides and it wasn’t full (picture attached). Looks like she possibly spilled it on the way to the table.
When I approached the barista to ask what coconut milk they use, and if she would be willing to make it again with Almond milk, she was reluctant to fix the problem and agreed, but only after warning me that it would take a long time because she had other drinks.
35+ minutes after ordering, she placed an almond matcha in front of me with an “Im so sorry.”
To wait over 15 minutes for a non-espresso drink when there was no line, and then for the re-make to take 20 minutes, when there was still no line, is wild.

The Perkins location has a great atmosphere and good drinks/food but their indoor seating chairs are so uncomfortable. There are MAYBE four chairs that can comfortably sit someone with wide hips, otherwise good luck. You'll either have to sit sideways or on the edge of your seat.

We stopped here on our way through town because it was dog friendly. We had coffee, a blueberry scone and a Strawberry "poptart". We loved the homemade pop tart!

What a gem-- a true gem! Everything I could hope for in a coffee shop: ambience, independence, and flavor. Perfection.

I went their while visiting baton rouge and the chai tea latte was really nice and came with cute latte art and in a nice cup and their zucchini bread was pretty good.

Incredible coffee and breakfast! Try the Roosevelt with caramel syrup *chef's kiss* The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they have a small but good selection of vegan treats!
