Quaint little cafe. The indoor area is cozy and trendy, even offering items and art to take home with you. The outdoor is nice and simple, but it is against the road so the car noises take away from the experience. I noticed inappropriate wiring connections while outside.

The avocado and pesto, brioche and garlic confit, ricotta, and creole tomato on a toast was light and delicious. The salmon panini was also tasty and light, however, the onion overpowered the salmon taste. The Roosevelt was good and only slightly sweet. The Winston was phenomenal, it was a 3 layered double espresso shot with half and half and vanilla syrup.

Regrettably having only been there a handful of times, the Magpie on Perkins Rd. is undeniably one of my absolute favorite cafés to go to. The coffee is good, the food is delicious, and the workers are friendly and accommodating. I wish I spent more of my time at the Magpie on Perkins Rd. than I did anywhere else closer to home.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Baton Rouge! They have great food, great coffee and a nice atmosphere. Be prepared, it's not cheap, but you're paying for quality.

Great food, great environment, and even better service. I love grabbing breakfast and a cold brew at Magpies

Very pricey. Is that for chic appeal? Sorta artsy-fartsy. Small groups are welcome to conduct meetings or business, that's nice. But the seating not the most comfortable so how long would you want to stay? The area itself a bit like 'back-of'the-tracks' adjoining I-110 which makes it interesting as a far as neighborhood vibe. It is en route to a lot of places along the 10/12

This is my favorite magpie location. The food is always amazing and it is a great place to study/read/work. My favorites are the chai, cinnamon rolls and the cinnamon homemade pop tarts! So delicious

Magpie Café doesn't even belong in Baton Rouge. Their coffee rivals establishments I've visited all across the country. Excellent, high-quality, not overpriced... can't ask for more in a coffee shop. Highly recommended.

Very neat atmosphere close to LSU campus. The café only serves drinks in one size, which I found refreshing, because there will be no people in front of you in line with crazy Starbucks style ordering. They have lot of gluten free and paleo snack options, plus great food and neat local art/crafts for sale.

Magpie is AMAZING!!! Between their coffee, vegan options, and amazing staff I cannot say enough good things about Magpie. THE only place I will drink coffee in Baton Rouge ;)

Great local espresso shop! Their drinks are strong and full flavored, and the designs with the cream/milk by the baristas are a nice touch. Great for a date!
