Heine Brothers Coffee - Schnitzelburg/Germantown

During the pandemic I have frequented this Heine Brother almost daily, and everyone has been absolutely wonderful. They are so friendly, efficient, and kind. They always make me smile, and for that I am grateful. <3

The little shop is pretty and has a robust menu. I am giving it 5 stars for the nitro cold brew and apple oat scone that I ordered. The cold brew was smooth and yet had strong flavor and the scone was glazed but not too sweet with a crispy outer shell.

I must say that I am extremely disappointed in the customer service at this location. The personalities of the staff are dry, unfriendly, and unwelcoming to say the least. I stop here every morning that I work, and might I add I work in an ICU. And at this time in the world when everything is chaotic and unfortunate the last thing anyone wants to interact with are rude unprofessional, raggedy, dry individuals. These type of people definitely do not belong in customer service at all, and definitely should be thankful that they can even be able to keep their jobs at a time like this. I definitely would have addressed these rude individuals in person however it wouldn’t have ended well at all, as I have no issue telling someone about their disgusting attitudes.

Of all the Heine Bros in Louisville, this one is my favorite work station. And from the looks of the other clientele, who are also always hunched over a book or a laptop, I'm fairly confident I'm not the only one who feels this way. It tends to stay on the quiet side compared to most other coffee shops and there's always an outlet and a table available. There's also lots of outside patio seating and a drive-through, which is convenient when I'm running errands in my neighborhood. I spent a lot of time here this summer and feared that the atmosphere would change once classes started back at UofL. This was not the case. It's still perfectly calm.

I always have great service here. The baristas are friendly and c helpful. The coffee is always fresh. They make my drinks as I order it. I hardly ever have to wait for very long at all. A good experience over all everytime.
I think one I'd my favorite drinks is the honey bee...i think that's the name.
I also this is a great location. There's isn't a coffee shop around the area. It's perfect forthe college students who are in the area. And good for everyone else in the area like me!

After a decade of coming to the same place twice a day, my roommate and I had noticed a decline in value. We suspected for a little over a year that the espresso was being shorted and that there was no quality control from one barista to another. We ordered the same thing each time and had it served 50 different ways. One of the employees confirmed that the drinks were served with half of the espresso if any, by most of the baristas... leaving us with milk and syrup versus the 4 shot lattes we ordered and paid for. I let management and customer service know of my concerns. Management confirmed that she allows each of her employees make drinks their own way. CS didn't address the issues after 6 emails. Look at these reviews and see how this company dodges responding to the negatives. I will miss several of the good baristas. They earned the 2 stars, not the product.

The coffee and scones always taste great but the service is slow and inattentive. I've had to remind them of my food order on several occasions and I feel like they move at a pace that implies that my time isn't important. If I go in the afternoon it's not an issue but in the mornings there should be at least some kind of hustle. I shouldn't have to wait 10 minutes just to have to repeat my order.

Ordered ahead online, paid and tipped. The very expedient staff had my two drinks ready as I pulled up to the window. Didn't even have to wait in line. awesome experience

Ordered a green tea with lemon but it just turned out to be hot water. I went back to tell them about it, they just gave me a pack of tea to put in my cup. They sounded very unfriendly and acted like I was a nuisance when I came back to them my tea was just a cup of hot water.
